Do you always bleed after a chemical pregnancy?

I had a blazing BFP last Tuesday (4 days after my period was due) but since then tests have gradually got lighter and lighter and it’s basically non existent this morning. So I am sadly assuming chemical. I haven’t had any bleeding at all, just light brown discharge.
Was wondering if you always get a chemical bleed?
Just want it to happen so I can move on from

@Ella31 thank you. Tbh for 2 days I haven’t had any light brown discharge now. Nothing.. 😕 I hate this feel like I’m just in limbo! xxx

Have you got your hcg tested? It would be worth it. 2 blood tests to compare r8sing or falling hcg.

@Ella31 I did on Thursday - it was 44. They told me not to worry as I could be very early like 3-4 weeks. But I put it at 5 weeks as I know the date I ovulated as I was testing, and my last period date. And she told me just to do another pregnancy test in 2 weeks. But said it’s up to me if I wanted to come back after 48 hours for another test. Kind of wish I had now. But she sort of said that she didn’t think there was that much point as even if they doubled they wouldn’t be able to do a scan or anything as it’s so low.
Surely tests getting fainter and fainter is showing that my hcg isn’t increasing anyway? 😔 my test was so dark on Tuesday. It’s barely visible now.. xx

I’m sorry you’re going through this if it is a chemical. I didn’t bleed either time with mine until the tests were negative

@allgoodthings84 how long did it take you to get a negative test? And how long after the negative did you start bleeding? Sorry you’ve gone through it xx

I think you should go back and get a second blood test, if it's rising then a viable pregnancy could be possible. That's the point of it - if it's decreased again, you know where you stand and the loss is confirmed.

@Katyx6 i tested positive both times 14dpo (day after AF due) and started bleeding around 2 weeks after. I tested negative a couple days before bleeding

if you haven’t started bleeding by 6 weeks after LMP I would speak to GP about bloods or an appointment with EPU for a scan. They don’t tend to scan before 6 weeks

@Katyx6 positive news is that I’m now just over 33 weeks pregnant so if it is a chemical it doesn’t mean you won’t get pregnant again quickly. Hopefully this isn’t a loss for you 💕

It took me eight days after my first negative test to start bleeding @Katyx6 so I know how it feels being this horrible limbo period. I did fall pregnant the very next cycle (currently 26 weeks pregnant) - hopefully the same goes for you x

I have just been to the toilet and when I wiped there was a big jelly like stringy, sticky mucus lump. It was clear but tinged very light brown.
Do you think this is the start? 😞
