I was originally taking 1500mg metformin for pcos, found the side effects difficult but we've agreed to switch to slow release as it's worked in restoring my cycles .
However, they've prescribed me 750mg. Once daily.
This is half the dose I was taking. I don't understand it to be honest, can't get appointment again unless invited.
Obviously I'm wondering if this is going to be effective as metformin only helped me once I increased my dose.
Does the slow release dose equal more of the standard or something?
