Hi everyone

my husband decided we wanted to ttc at the start of the year. I had my coil removed in September 2022 and went on the pill for around four months to help manage heavy flow/very intense pain/possible endometriosis. We started trying in Feb, had a little break and then started trying properly again in May/June of this year.

My periods went back to “normal” although having had the coil for ten years it was hard to know what that was! Cycles settled on about 25-30 days, period had reasonably heavy flow with some clots and the usual symptoms (cramping in back, headaches, fatigue, not sleeping) and lasted for around four days.

last month and this month I have had very short periods. Two days, barely any bleeding, very light in colour and no cramps etc. I tested last month in case it was an implantation bleed but it was negative but haven’t so far this month (it only ended yesterday to be fair).

I’m just really puzzled by all this as I can’t imagine there would be two implantation bleeds unless maybe they were cp? I’m also worried in case this is bad news for ttc as odds a little stacked against us anyway.

I’m 37 next month, a little overweight (bmi 31), have suspected endometriosis and have been pregnant before in my early 20s.

For anyone who comes across this and is interested, I got my period 'properly' after three days of spotting. Cramps, heavy bleed etc so think it's just that spotting is becoming more of a thing for me and my body!

Although am wondering about my period before this one that was very very light with no cramps and only lasted two day. Perhaps I skipped a period and had CP....who knows!
