Period after surgical termination at 14 weeks

I had a TFMR 5.5 weeks ago and haven't had my first period yet. The surgeon said it should return after 4.5 weeks, but still nothing. If you had a surgical termination at a similar time, how long did it take for your cycle take to restart? Pregnancy tests are negative.
Thanks so much in advance x

I had a non-surgical TFMR in November at 16 weeks, and although I can't offer much advice as I had retained products, so my cycle took a long time to settle, i just wanted to say sorry that you're going through this - it's shit, isn't it, and such an emotional (and physical) rollercoaster.
The fact that your pregnancy tests are negative is good, as it suggests your hormones are getting back to normal, but you might want to call the gynae ward you had the procedure on just to run it by them - they should give advice and get you back in for a check up if needed.

@Jellybott Thanks so much for your reply, and for understanding :) I'm so sorry you've been through a similar loss and difficult time afterwards. Really hope you're doing ok.
It's totally shit and I feel so on/off emotional atm - hoping the return of my normal cycle will stabilise it a bit!

I think you're right - will give them a ring this week. Thank you again x
