Fertility MOTs, like Hertility, to get a private prescription

Does anyone know if you can get a private prescription if a service like Hertility recommends it? Do they issue you a private prescription if you need one?

For context, my TSH is 3.5 and my ferritin level is 24. I have slightly out of range MCH and MCHC (which I think suggests iron-deficiency anemia) but they are said to be ‘acceptable’.

My GP has (grudgingly) issued me a prescription for iron supplements but they didn’t think I was aneamic. I am however shattered, have frequent headaches, heavy periods, my hair is falling out, my nails snap off, and my skin, hair and nails are so dry.

I’ve read that my TSH is too high to conceive, but the GP disagreed and said it was nice and mid-range. The nurse practitioner told me it’s great I have such a strong level of TSH in the morning…But this massively contradicts a lot I’ve read online on fertility websites.

So if I re-do my bloods through a service like Hertility, will their consultants be able to issue me a private prescription? There’s no point just paying for bloods as I know my levels. I need a service that can do more then just tell me to ask my GP for something.

Final context: I’m 31 and otherwise healthy and am not over or under weight. This would be my first baby. Haven’t started ttc yet but want to this year.

I have used Hertility and they do offer you an opportunity to speak to a gynaecologist about your results afterwards, so imagine you could potentially get a prescription that way. In the end my issue was with progesterone (which they don’t test) so I ended up using the results of a different at home test and doing an e-consult with a private gynae to get a prescription for Cyclogest, so that could also be an option if you’ve already get test results?
