Why aren't I getting a dye stealer? Did you get one ?

I'm 17dpo today, should I be getting a proper dye stealer by now ?
This is with fmu and it's the same as yesterdays late morning one, I thought it would be darker

Perhaps late implantation? Or the brand of test?

I really wouldn't worry, though. That test says you're definitely pregnant, it's a nice strong line!

(For reassurance, I'm not sure I ever got dye stealer results on my tests, but both of my pregnancies resulted in healthy babies).

Still a super dark, strong line. I wouldn't worry 🙂 And, congratulations!

buckeyetree · 18/06/2023 07:03

I never had a line anything like that dark. I now have a healthy 2 and 4 year old. Why are you under the impression you need a very dark line?

earlybirdd · 18/06/2023 07:45

I'm not sure, paranoid maybe due to miscarriage and infertility.
This pic was taken about 15 mins after the test, so has dried a little.

@earlybirdd It might be the test, I got dye stealers from about 15dpo on other brands, I used one of those at about 6 weeks and it looked similar to yours, I’ll see if I’ve got the photo still!

Is that a Morrisons one aswell?
I did think it could be the test, can't buy frers anywhere. I've ordered a cb digital now to come for a few days time, hopefully then I'll relax abit

I used to test every morning with a first response. Gave up at 23 dpo and still didn't get to dye stealer stage. I'm nearly 20 weeks now. I get the worry, I too have infertility and recurrent losses and it's taken over 5 years to get to this stage for me, but honestly don't worry about dye stealers.

Can I show you these pics, they were taken on the same morning (Thursday) the first one is first thing, the second mid morning and look at the difference in lines. The second one is so much darker compared to the cheaper one, so maybe it is the tests ?

@earlybirdd yep a Morrisons one! Yeah I definitely think it’s the tests, your line looks really good on the boots ☺️ x

Thanks. I'll try to relax abit, so easy to overthink etc these tests aren't good ! 😆

What’s a dye stealer?

aren’t tests either positive or negative? Can’t be more or less pregnant!

Yes.

People don't necessarily use them the way they're designed to be used, though.
