FRER Pregnant or False Positive?

So this morning I took a FRER test with FMU and within 3 minutes this line appeared. However, I also took a Clearblue rapid response and that was negative. I have taken 5 tests since Wednesday (excessive, I know 😅) and all have been negative apart from this one this morning.

The issue is AF was due on Friday and has still not appeared.

I have now went down a rabbit hole reading about FRER false positives and I have no idea what to think.

Has anyone recently took a FRER and had a similar issue?

That looks very positive to me as well. Could it be the clear blue was a false negative? Only way to know is take another FRER and see if you get the same?

Was the rapid response an early detection test?

That looks like my positive FRER (which is now a 17 month old boy 😂) congrats!

I really want it to be positive but I am just so hesitant to get excited because of the negative tests and the reviews about false positives.

I have went out and bought 2 cheap tests and also have another FRER that I will try again tomorrow 🤞🏻

I think these types of tests are much less likely to be a false positive (or EVAP).

Did you look at it before you peed on it? I ordered frer from Amazon, two pack. One I took out and it had this line before I even tested! The other was negative. My period came today so was definitely dodgy xx

@Ttcmumma it was definitely blank when I opened it but I also ordered it off of Amazon and there seems to be quite a few issues so think I will wait a few days and see if AF turns up.

That looks positive to me - a think a false wouldn't be so dark. similar to my early positives!

So took another FRER this morning and got the same. Hard to see the colour on the picture but it is definitely a clear pink line, but it’s not any darker than yesterday.

I also took a Clear and Simple cheap test which claims to be early response but it is a stark negative. The FRER claims to detect HCG levels of 6.3 mlu whereas the others are 10mlu.

The only explanations I can think are either false positives with the FRERs or ovulation/implantation has happened later than expected and the other tests aren’t picking it up yet.

Looks like I’m just going to need to hold out until the weekend to see if AF shows up and if not test again.

Don't worry to much about the progression between daily . Heres mine for example and 12/13 are pretty much the same. Aswell as 14/15.

Day 17 then shot up super dark!

@BagelO did you do any other brand of tests at the same time? I just don’t understand how the rest are clear negatives but the FRERs are positive. AF was due on Friday or Saturday.

The others are just less sensitive - 10miu or more, so FRERs will always pick up hcg first. Rapid response type tests and non 6 days early cheap tests tend to be 25miu, as are digis I think....

I’ve attached mine at 10DPO to show how light they can be, I’m now almost 36 weeks (and dying in this heat!)

When I got the attached my clearblue digital was negative and a boots early test looked almost negative!

My test looked like this about 9DPO, and the ultra early clearblue digital with the red flashing light said "pregnant"
No other test would show a positive because they weren't sensitive enough x

I am going to go on the hunt for some FRERs tomorrow, why are they so hard to get these days?!

No idea... I've also noticed the price on Amazon has practically doubled compared with a year ago 🤯. It's really strange - both the shortage and the sudden price hike...
