My DH and I are just starting to try for a second and I'm in need of positive stories!!!

Did you have a baby in late 30s or early 40s without it being a huge struggle??

Did you get pregnant while breastfeeding a boob obsessed toddler?

Please share your happy experiences here!

I had my first at 37 (he's 22 months old). I'm now 39 and still breastfeeding him, mostly just once or twice a day. My periods are regular and I def have cervical mucus/sex drive when I should be ovulating, but ovulation tests don't seem to pick up anything, not sure if that's related. I also had a chemical pregnancy in Feb when we weren't really trying yet.

Anyway, I'm nervous and could use some good inspiration! Tell me all your nice things please.

Can't help re bf but I had DC1 at 36 and DC2 at almost 39. No difficulties conceiving (I had problem pregnancies, but the medics said it wasn't to do with my age). Good luck!

I know someone who had a one night stand at 45 and got pregnant! Currently trying at 44 so i'm hopeful! Thats what you gotta be right?

Those ov sticks don’t work for me either. I try and use them but never get a proper positive despite other signs pointing to ov. Do you track your temperature eg on fertility friend?

My mum had me at 39 and my sister at 42, almost 43. Pretty easy pregnancies and vaginally births, no complications. We were both healthy babies.

Im currently 36 and pregnant with DC2, conception was fairly quick and same length of time as at 32 which I was surprised at. My friend has just had a 3rd before her 41st birthday again easy conception. Good luck! X

@CurlyWurly1991 I think BBT doesn't work when you're breastfeeding - at least that's what I've read. I think I'm going to give it a couple of months and if we don't have any luck I will try to fully wean, but I don't really want to rush it.

@WolfMother326 oh really? I hadn’t heard that about bbt / breastfeeding. Every day is a school day !

CAN I PLEASE HEAR YOUR EXPERIENCES having babies after 42+?
Is it very hard and exhausting? I’m looking for honest advise. I’m so afraid to go for it, life is really good now with our beautiful 7 year old. But another baby keeps pulling at my heartstrings. For 3 over years now. I’m very healthy but more tired. What are your personal thoughts? Id be around 53 when this child is 10!
