Hi,

I've recently found out I'm potentially pregnant which is a massive surprise! I've had 2 pregnancies before 1 successful, other devastatingly ended in TFMR BUT both conceived via IVF. After this loss in Feb I've had multiple complications including RPOC which only resolved itself on my 3rd period post loss in April which was an absolutely horrifically heavy period, borderline phoning Dr as I was concerned.

May period has not arrived so I did a test and instantly positive. I'm not optimistic as I don't feel pregnant not letting myself get excited until further down the line as it feels too good to be true. I was expected to go back for IVF soon so I'm on a bit of a rollercoaster right now. I'm also very nervous as I have had a few nights out drinking alcohol with friends recently as I never ever ever expected to be pregnant. I've not even told my husband as I don't want to get our hopes up.

I'm going to go for an early scan then hopefully surprise him if this is meant to be.

Posting on here as I'm very confused about dates for booking the scan. My last period started on the 4th of April and according to my app (Flo) says I'm 4 weeks and 6 days which to me makes sense. My cycles are regular at 28days. Also not having any symptoms as such which also makes sense this early on. But when I use the NHS website (which I would assume to be reliable) and put the 1st day of my last period as 4th of April it tells me I'm 8 weeks! Surely this is wrong!

Can anyone help me out??

You'll be 9 weeks tomorrow by doctors standards as they go from the first day of your last period. Which tomorrow will be 9 weeks ago. However you obviously don't actually concieve on the first day of your last period so baby hasn't been growing in you that long.. you'll be treated as 9 weeks from tomorrow tho once you register your pregnancy with doctors x

Op stupid question but you’ve said you are regular. Was your last period April, or May? Only because I also tested positive today and accidentally did this on an app earlier and thought how?!? And then remembered it’s June!!

@Callmemummynotmaaa I take it all back you're right!!!! My app has deleted my May period must be what it does when you log positive pregnancy. So I'm 4 weeks and 6days if indeed I am pregnant. Thank you I was very very confused, my mistake x
