Hi all.
I have been prescribed letrozole to help regulate my periods and induce ovulation. My 2nd cycle didn't make me ovulate so the consultant agreed to up my dose. They also have concerns about my lining being thin so, rather than inducing a bleed, I was told to start the higher dose randomly without having a period first (I had to abstain from DTD and get a negative pregnancy test first to rule out pregnancy before starting the new cycle.)
I did wonder if my body might be gearing up to ovulate by itself anyway due to an increase in CM and some twinges in my left ovary, but I have had his before many times during a time when I went a whole year without a period so I took doctor's advice and took the medication yesterday and today.
I have, however, just had a peak OPK result. I know some people say letrozole can give false positives on an OPK but like I say, I did have suspicions my body was going to try to ovulate naturally anyway and maybe the letrozole has just helped it along.
I cant get hold of the clinic and the helpline until Monday.
My question is - should I keep taking the medication since it may have just been a false positive? Or should I stop it immediately and seek advice on Monday?
Any thoughts helpful, I dont know what to do for the best and whether to take tomorrow's dose or not!
