Hi ladies

I used a period delay tablet in April which stoped my period from the 6th of April I stoped taking them on the 9th and my period came on the 12th.. and my next period came on the 15th may I had unprotected sex on the 12th and 13th of may.. meaning if going from my original period dates I would of ovulated around 16/17th of may! I'm worried I could be pregnant, there's not much information about this on the internet, just wondering if my ovulation date would of changed from taking the pills.. think I should call the doctors and get some advice tomorrow, but would like to know if any of you lovely ladies know anything about this. Thanks in advance

Isn’t it period delay and not ovulation delay, therefore yes. It’s not a contraception.

Having unprotected sex at anytime can cause pregnancy. GP won't have any advice other than to do a test!

Ok just found this on the net!

Period-delay tablets are medications that can delay the onset of menstruation.

  1. These tablets contain a synthetic hormone called progestogen, similar to the hormone progesterone naturally produced by the ovaries.
  2. When you take menstrual cycle delay tablets, the progestogen hormone signals the body to stop producing the hormones that trigger ovulation and the menstrual cycle.
