Are they able to see a hydrophinx via xray ? I was diagnosed with a hydrophinx via ultrasound. I was then booked in for a hsg dye test and xray which apparently my tubes came back open. I saw another consultant at the nhs fertility clinic ivf apointment and he gave me a very brief scan a month later and said no hydrophinx was visible. I will add i did get pregnant after that hsg in January but miscarried 1 week after my tww. Orignal consultant at hospital gynae still wants to me in to remove the affected tube to better my success and today i got rhe letter to confirm surgery date. I'm just confused really what to do.
Is a hydrophinx always visible on a dye test . Wouldn't the xray and dye have picked up on any blockages or unusual outline shape on the xray. ? Surely it would look swollen on xray. months later I'm still not pregnant and I'm just wondering if it's just bad luck or if the dye flushed the hydrophinx and maybe it's come back ? I did start letrozole the minth following my hsg so. Just asking anyone with experience really does it sound like I has a hydrophinx to begin with . I'm very uncomfortable having my tube removed when my dye came back clear
