Hello ladies I'm officially on my two week wait 🙌 it's my first time tracking this month so I'm all new to this ..... Me and my partner have been trying now for about 2 years on and off , but this month we've decided to track and jist go for it ... I'm more positive this time around so if you would like to keep me company your welcome x

@GeoSmed No I haven’t been on Letrozole since January and that was 5mg, monitored cycles yes. Previous cycle 2.5mg.

When I conceived with my first i literally had nothing until CD18 & produced just one follicle, ovulated CD21 when it was around 23mm which ended up being my daughter. Miracle baby!

This time I didn’t respond at all, which to me suggested my body wasn’t ready as I know it can respond and has done previously. I decided to take some time out as lost my father in law (lots of stress / grief) and go back to reflexology/meditation etc as that is what I did with my daughter.

I’m so pleased to just have a ‘normal’ cycle as I never have them so pleased about that but makes it difficult as I don’t expect another immediately after, which means I don’t know ‘when I’m late’ 🥴

Unfortunately not good all round. My body just hasn't responded to the injections since Monday and one has ruptured, 1 is the same size, and the other has shrunk, and my lining is none existent. Broke down in the appointment like a mug and the nurse bless her was really sweet, but she was also a bit like ermmmmmm ....👀

no symptoms are defo not a bad thing though! Oh I thought you did a PT not an OPK. x

Oh wow a total sunshine baby. That's really good that it worked first cycle. Really pleased for you and your little daughter as well. Do you have PCOS at all, or just really irregular cycles?

Yeah it's weird isn't it? The first 2 months of the injections I over responded, but this month I responded initially and I've just stopped. So i'm so confused and I just don't understand what's going on. one had even regressed! It makes no sense, and no sense that it worked before, but not this time for you. Do you think it is because you gave birth since then?

Really sorry you lost you FIL. It's o hard when something like that throws you but it also makes you reassess how you feel about all of this - suddenly feels so insignificant right? Have you thought about acupuncture at all?

It is super hard when you're not regular and each month can be totally different as you don't know when to predict your due day. How long has it been in this cycle so far?

Omgosh, you poor thing. I'm sooo sorry. How gutting for there to be such a change in days. I would've been crying! It's okay to feel sad 😔 what are the next steps?

I got PTs free with my OPKs so I did use it! Silly me. 🙈

@UKMummy2one that's amazing that you have had a natural cycle this time! Hopefully that continues and you won't need to use the letrozole at all from now. Do you find the side effects awful? I've heard varying things tbh.

My issue is that I'm ovulating but there can just be so long between! I'd say my cycles on average range 40-48 days.

@GeoSmed if I hadn't decided to do a random bbt on ?3dpo I would be pretty convinced I had ovulated. I got eggwhite mucus and ovulation pain and positive OPK on strips and digital. But had low bbt on 3&4dpo. This morning it was high but I had woken up early hours drenched in sweat (ew) and tossed and turned after that so I'm putting it down to that. I don't believe it's genuinely high. Also have tender boobs which happens in my TWW.

You absolutely responded in a completely normal way, I think any of us would've been upset and frustrated. I hope the nurse didn't make you feel bad.
What are the next steps now? Is there anything they can do to help grow the follicles more? Xx

Thank you hun, means a lot. They do scans in the AM then discuss the results with the Drs and Consultants in the lunch time meeting, then send you a message on the portal to update you, but she said she'll get my Dr there to ring me instead. Theirs a few things I reckon they could say - Abandon and just reset, up my dose and hope nothing else kicks off, give me oestrogen injections as well to help with my lining, or just abandon and tell me it's IVF time. 😞😕I'm speculating - i'm not the expert, but i'm preparing for any of the above!

Yeah she gave me the details of the councelling service that we get as part of being there, and urged me to contact them, so I might take a look later once I've spoke to my husband.

when are you 'due'? thank you darling that's really kind. Stupid f'ing body. She said it looked like I'd had a period, I was like I've already had one! I can't have 2 in one cycle! lol xx

Yeah maybe it showed up because your body was hot from night sweats / bit run down. I woke up in sweat on Friday night, so I bet mine would have been up then too. I'd go with the day you thought and if you can feel it, that's often a better sign. You know your body best after all! What CD is it today then?

Thank you sweet, it's really nice how supportive you all are. It's just so confusing! They said to me all the other months that if anything, I over respond to the drugs (hence the month with 19 ready to release!) but it's just weird that I've regressed. I mentioned that on Monday I bled a LOT, and she said it's unlikely but is going to speak to the consultant.

Not sure yet on next steps - they ring you in the afternoon of a scan to update you on what's next etc. x

Hoping there's more to be done! I guess they've seen it all before and the Dr will know the best course of action. Hopefully you get that call soon. 🙏🏻

Rubbish news @GeoSmed . I think anyone would have cried!! Hope you have a productive call from the Dr this afternoon.
I have a really heavy feeling that I'm literally about to come on any second. I've been and checked about 4 times this morning! Not due til Saturday but have had a couple of suprise shorter cycles on 25ish days in last few months so just not sure what's happening! Xx

@GeoSmed Yes I have PCOS was diagnosed around 16. I don’t have the ‘average’ symptoms with it though but can see the cysts when I’ve had follicle tracking each time.

Ive heard about over responding and expected it when they upped my dosage but literally nothing exceeded 12mm which is nothing and not even classed as dominant. It was really disappointing coupled with the loss of my FIL it was too much and I felt my body really was telling me ‘no not yet’.

So apparently when you give birth most people have more regular cycles and I can say I’ve had more after having my daughter than I did in the 3 years previous but still very long sometimes 100 day + cycles and I don’t think I ovulated on any of them. Turns out you can start a period without ovulating apparently according to the clinic nurses 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I’m CD30 today.

Letrozole side effects aren’t that bad in comparison to Clomid that literally is the devils drug. I get bad night sweats/day sweats and headaches but that’s it

Thanks Girl. Well, they didn't ring me, they just sent me a message on the portal which was annoying but whatever. Just basically said to carry on with the injections at the dose we're at, and got another scan on Friday morning at 8:30am. so god knows! I assume they're hoping somethin has gone on over the next 2 days, but I dunno. I feel a bit lost hope. Least I'll be going into that appointment with absolutely no expectations, so anything has got to be better than abandon! 😂

Ohhhh not long then. Have you had any usual periody twinges or literally nothing either way? Well needless to say I'll be here Saturday for you haha! At least ONE of us has to be pregnant come on God... pick a few of us! x

@UKMummy2one Ah exactly the same as me, I don't have the 'syndrome' element of it where you have high testosterone, weight issues, insulin problems, increased hair on the body etc, but I have the polycystic ovary side. Same as you - seems a lot of people are similar! Do you know how many follicles you have per month on each or is it not tracked (bar when you were on letrozole?)

Yeah that's really sad. Especially when you're throwing more drugs at it and it's still like nahhhh. The biggest I've ever had was 15, but a very thin lining. That tends to be my issue. Bar month 1 where I over stimmed and had 19 x 14+!

Yeah the ovulating thing is odd isn't it. Cuz your body is obviously pumping out estrogen to plump up your lining, which then sheds when no egg comes out aka your period. That's what happened with my first round - they couldn't trigger me to ovulate as I had 19 and it was super risky and apaz I'd have been in agony! Body's are bloody mental aren't they - Honestly, it's a wonder anyone gets pregnant!

Haha have you been on Clomid? I know that they make you literally f'ing mental. And theirs like 50% chance of twinning with them! x

Nothing other than indigestion and an increased RHR. Which is a bit weird but I'm reading into everything! I certainly don't feel pregnant. I'm a bit disappointed but totally fine. If we caught this cycle it would've been beginner's luck 🤣

I heard that your HR increases when you're pregnant, but I don't know by how much, or what number. My RHR is basically dead 99% of the time! 😂It's like 50 or something. Question for you - body temp. Being basic as I am, I don't really understand and have never tracked. I bought a thermometer, and not really sure what the readings mean if they're good or not?

Check you out with your megafit RHR. That was once me pre-Adolf. My RHR shot up once I was pregnant! 🤣 So, have you got an app too? I used Femometer. You log it and it basically tells you what's good. You'll see a dip before ovulation, then it'll rise. You want it to stay up! It can drop a little bit and that could indicate an implantation dip, then you just want it to stay high. Otherwise it normally drops before your period is due!

How do you think we'll know if the kid's a sleeper? 🤔 Very important 😝

Ladies, I’m hoping this is good news.. since having that BFN & no symptoms really this afternoon I’ve started getting a really strange taste in my mouth (hoping it’s not covid 🫣😂 I don’t have other covid symptoms) and also lots of twinges, nothing strong but enough to notice.

Anyone had/got this too?

Sounds like we’re very similar then! Only had the tracking when on the Letrozole as because I have my daughter this round is self funded. If 7.5mg doesn’t work (once we try) we will have to move on to the injections I’ve no idea what they cost either 😬

Hmmmm I reckon it depends where they are in Asda. If their in the confectionary, biscuit or ice cream aisle, abort abort abort! If they're in the herbal tea aisle, the home section or the bath lotion aisle, I reckon we're onto a winner. x
