Hi everyone.

I think I’m around 11 dpo and I’ve had my bfp today… including on less sensitive cheapie strip tests.

what do I need to do now? Any advice would be so appreciated. Should I keep testing to check for line progression and when/how do I need to let my doctor know if everything progresses ok?

thanks!

contact your gp and they will go through the next steps with you...

Depending on where you live you may not need to contact your GP. Where I am you self refer to maternity services so never see your GP. Go to the NHS maternity website or your GP practices site - both should provide guidance. From memory I was able to self refer from 6 weeks.

Doctors now take positive tests as confirmation so you don’t need to make an appointment. There will be a local midwife service that you can be signposted to and you go from there. If you Google your local area and midwife you’ll probably be able to do it yourself online.

Take a look on your GP surgery website. Ours has a section telling you what to do. It recently changed that was contact the local community birth centre direct to arrange midwife care
