Ovulation testing - could I have missed my peak?

Hi all,

I had the littlest bit of CM yesterday evening so took last nights LH test and it was getting darker. The latest 2 are today and have went lighter again. Could I have missed the surge overnight or can the surge still be a few days away after CM?

If you used fmu today then you couldn’t miss it. But you might have missed your surge yesterday midday maybe or your body tried to ovulate but didn’t.

I just noticed your cd15 and cd17 are the same. When do you usually ovulate?

@emmatcc1 yes just realised there was nearly 12 hours missed yesterday as I was out all day! I will keep testing, I think it’s close but not quite happened yet!

@emmatcc1 I usually don’t ovulate to around cd20 so hopefully it hasn’t happened yet and does in the next few days! X

Looks like it hasn't happened yet, LH is just fluctuating 😊 Although I'm no expert 😅

@LeopardLover i think you are right! I never ovulate this early as my cycles are longer but first cycle ttc#2 and i am testing lh since cd13😅 like a mad woman!! Ugh wish i could be laid back about this but it’s just not who I am😂

@PheebsMum Oh I hear you! This was my first cycle using OPKs trying to conceive #2 and I was surprised that I am ovulating later 😅 I also wish I could be chill Hahaha!

@LeopardLover How long did it take you for DC1? I was only 2 cycles (although first cycle lasted a whopping 79 days🙃, probably caused by the stress of ttc😅) and I am getting myself so stressed thinking this time will be very different even though I am only in cycle 1 and not even ovulated yet so don’t actually have any proof its going to be difficult yet🙄

Hahahaha I absolutely get it. 3 cycles, but my dad was really ill so I also felt really stressed! Although I was mega fit back then and now I'm just heavier and more tired 😉

Lee testing. Don’t use FMU, time for testing with this kind of OPK is between 10am and 8pm. Make sure your urine isn’t too diluted. I was testing at 10am from CD8, then when my lines went darker started testing at 10/2/6.
