Hi there! I'm currently cycle #7 of TTC. Seems to me it either take couple of months or it takes quite longer. So i just wanted to hear you out, your stories :) couple of friends got pregnant right away, one took 3 months and one had to go through ivf so I don't really hear much stories in between and am hopeful I will conceive soon. Thank you all for sharing and wish you all the best :)

Hi @dormicumema I was straightaway with my first. I got pregnant again first cycle trying for my second but it was a chemical and I am now on to cycle 6 . Do you have regular periods/ track ovulation? Wishing you lots of luck with your journey :)

HippeePrincess · 16/05/2023 13:07

First cycle with all 3, though it took 3 months for my cycle to return when I came off the pill once so technically I suppose 3 months for that one?

Ttcmumma · 16/05/2023 15:02

Did the pull out method for 5 years, no pregnancies, didn't pull out one time and concieved. We were young and stupid back then so had a termination.
My son was concieved unplanned but we wasn't preventing pregnancy for about 6 months before falling pregnant.
Last year I removed my coil in march and concieved late October/early November, unfortunately ended in a 14 weeks MMC this January and been TTC since. They've always been happy with my womb, ovaries, cervix, hormones etc no issues. Partner hasn't been tested but I'm assuming he's fairly ok, just seems to be almost random with us whether or not I fall pregnant and usually when I'm not trying 😅

VegMam · 16/05/2023 16:22

It took us just over a year first time. We’ve just started trying for no. 2 and I’m really hoping it’ll happen more quickly.

Spending months tracking your cycle, living extra healthy, DTD out of necessity rather than for fun etc., it’s hard going, and each month when your period arrives your heart breaks a little.

It can be really hard when other people seem to conceive so easily, but it’s very normal for it to take a good few months.

Shaker21 · 16/05/2023 16:31

15 cycles for me, ended up going private for tests and needed 7.5mg Letrozole to fall pregnant

dormicumema · 16/05/2023 18:07

@NWnature cycles are between 29 and 32 days, usually ovulate on CD 18. I use opks, bbt, prenatals, trying to eat healthy and overall live healthier. This month will be trying fertility cup along with sperm friendly lubricant
@VegMam thank you for kind words. I try to remember the fact it can just take a while when I start to feel down.
@Shaker21 were you diagnosed with pcos? Did you have signs you weren't ovulating so Dr put you on letrozole?

Ds1 took 3 months. I'm now on cycle 19 TTC D2 - in that time I've had a miscarriage, 2 chemical pregnancies and a tfmr 😢 it turns out waiting 4 years + a global pandemic + a v stressful house move aren't very conducive to conceiving! I'm 37 next week. Really hoping our time isn't too far away. I'm off to the fertility dr next week to see what might be going wrong for us.

Beaniesmumsie · 16/05/2023 18:24

Pretty much first time every time, but pregnancies 1,2 and 3 resulted in miscarriages (all within 6 months). Had all investigations and was just told bad luck. Fell pregnant with my DD 3 months after 3rd miscarriage. Fell pregnant with DS first time trying, couldn’t believe our luck after such a hard journey with DD

OooohAhhhh · 16/05/2023 18:27

Didn't take me long at all, conceived pretty much every time when I was trying, but like a pp before me, unfortunately I had losses.
I had 5 losses consecutively, but successfully stayed pregnant on my 6th time.
So mine was a happy ending in the end. So, no matter what, keep on trying Smile

Emmamoo89 · 16/05/2023 18:28

Third cycle for first but ended in a mmc. Took 6 months for rainbow with a chemical in between.

DramaAlpaca · 16/05/2023 18:38

It took us 11 months the first time, it happened just as I was starting to get concerned.

The next time I conceived on the first time of trying, and the age gap is just 16 months.

Third time it took 4 months.

Shaker21 · 16/05/2023 18:40

@dormicumema I was ovulating every month confirmed with OPKs and BBT every month. When I had tests done privately they found out I had low progesterone. So basically i think my follicle wasnt preparing my egg well enough so the corpus luteum wasnt producing enough progesterone. So I was put on 2.5mg to start with and had blood test, still wasnt high enough to where they would like it, was put on 5mg and another blood test and then needed the 7.5mg which then was high enough and worked

Same. I had no issues with my second either, strange hey.

WimbyAce · 16/05/2023 18:51

It took us nearly 3 years with our 1st pregnancy and daughter 1. We had started infertility investigations and had the info through to start ivf when I fell pregnant. With daughter 2 it took over 3 years and 3 pregnancies, I had 2 chemicals in the 1st year of trying and then nothing. So again went down the infertility route. Tried clomid with no success. Then started IUI. Bit of a disastrous 1st cycle that unsurprisingly was unsuccessful. We were all set to have another go and fell pregnant on a natural cycle. Never any answers as to why we struggled but just feel eternally thankful that we ended up with 2 healthy girls and that I don't have to go through trying again.

BrokeAssMum · 16/05/2023 18:52

Been pregnant 4 times (2 miscarriages). 3 of the 4 were planned and was pregnant first month each time. Unplanned I hadn't seen my husband for 3 months and found out I was pregnant 3 weeks after his return so within a month also.

LT2 · 16/05/2023 19:22

Straight away. But I chose to use ovulation testing right away too. Had I not used them, I may have not been so lucky. I recommend them!

Enn1234 · 16/05/2023 19:24

DC1 took 1.5 years and currently trying to conceive DC2, unsuccessful for 7 months and AF arrived today sigh

Bellesjp · 16/05/2023 19:28

7 months the first time, unfortunately we lost the baby, then 8 months to conceive our dd. I was starting to think it wouldn't happen but thankfully the month I stopped tracking and stressing so much I fell pregnant ❤️

Garethkeenansstapler · 16/05/2023 19:29

2 months both times. I feel very lucky.

tulipsunday · 16/05/2023 19:31

@dormicumema good luck! My son took 7 cycles so hopefully your bfp is just around the corner. I think pre seed with the internal application may have helped me conceive last month so may be worth a try if haven't used already x

GagaBinks · 16/05/2023 19:39

9 months baby 1
8 months baby 2 (miscarried at 9 weeks)
1 month baby 3. Think my body 'remembered' being pregnant from number 2 so literally happened straight away during the next cycle. He's due in July :)

kikisparks · 16/05/2023 19:46

4 years to conceive DD on our second IVF transfer. I had a very early natural loss after 7 months TTC and a loss shortly after first IVF transfer at the 3.5 years point. Feel so lucky to have DD and to never have to endure TTC with infertility again, it’s hell. Hope you get your BFP soon OP.

SunshineIndoors123 · 16/05/2023 20:21

4 years and 7 months. Concieved naturally in the end, no IVF. Had some investigations but nothing was ever found to be wrong. No idea why it took so long. I realise that is quite unusual though. Thinking of trying to start TTC number 2 later this year...hoping it happens a bit faster this time! Good luck.

ThisJustFeelsSoShit · 16/05/2023 21:52

Took us 2.5 years the first time, it's just coming up to 5 years ttc for dc2.

Mangotango39 · 16/05/2023 22:52

2 accidents that ended in MMC

Number 1 - forgotten pill.
Number 2 - just started pull out method.

about to try for our first month now and I don't have to much worry over falling as I have before but , MC is on my mind anxiously .
