Hi everyone

just wondering if you think this could really be my peak - I thought the ratio should be 1 or higher for the peak so wondering if that line is too feint. Thanks!

The cycle I fell pregnant mine only peaked at 0.9 so it definitely could be your peak!

Mangotango39 · 10/05/2023 06:52

What length is your cycles usually? It could still go up possibly and your later time just a dud test.

I don't peak till CD19.

Hazelnuttella · 10/05/2023 06:53

Yes I’d say it is

HavinKittens · 10/05/2023 06:54

When I was pregnant with my first, my peak was only 0.93. You may peak very quickly which may mean you only just caught the rise/fall. I would assume it’s your peak if your cycle is usually fairly regular and 31 days long ish.

It seemed to peak yesterday then come back down again but I’ve just had this result - any advice??

Ah that’s hard to tell. Do you usually have irregular cycles?

Tempeliz · 10/05/2023 18:32

Yeah my cycles are normally really regular - 30 days. I can usually tell when my period will come almost to the hour! This is the first time I’ve used opk testing throughout my cycle - other times I’ve just tested around ovulation.

I know some people have more of a plateau than a peak. You may have high readings for days. Ovulation is 24-36 hours after the start of the rise, or 8-20 hours after the peak. It’s hard to pinpoint it exactly, but I’d say it’s most likely you’ll ovulate today. The important thing is to have sex today, and then again tomorrow if you want to be sure. Your highest fertility was probably yesterday.

If you ovulated around day 18 and usually have a 30 day cycle, then your “luteal phase” is about 11-12 days, which is shorter than some but not too short to have a successful pregnancy - people tend to want to lengthen it if it’s only 10 days say.

We DTD yesterday and today so hopefully that’s us covered. Will keep testing and hopefully will start to decrease now. Interesting to know I ovulate later than what I’d have expected!
