First month trying for my second. PCOS here also! My peak is day 18 (today!) so similar to you. Sending baby dust your way :-)

mashm24 · 09/05/2023 21:11

@dwightschrutebeets me too!! Now the wait begins ahhhh...

Mangotango39 · 09/05/2023 23:22

I find this first month really daunting!!!
the not knowing is also so difficult for me as a huge planner 😂
will it be this month? Will it be a year? Who knows 😆

How did you find conceiving the first time with pcos if you don't mind me asking 😊

@Mangotango39 we conceived in the first month which was a huge shock. However, I was having regular periods. Since giving birth, my periods are all over the place and having irregular bleeding so I think it might be more difficult.

Are you using ovulation tests to track?

CatLadyH · 10/05/2023 09:06

First month here too 👋🏻 CD17 and I have been testing for ovulation since CD10 and no positive results yet…getting a bit anxious 😕 been using digital but have ordered some of the regular strips to use with Premom app. Came off the pill in October 22 and cycle seems to be back to normal and regular periods etc. Just making me anxious early on when DH and I said we would take a relaxed approach 🙈 easier said than done eh? Sorry for the ramble x

dwightschrutebeets · 10/05/2023 09:09

@mashm24 ah how exciting! My husbands already asking when I can test 😂 How old is your child? I have a 17 month old 😋

dwightschrutebeets · 10/05/2023 09:09

@CatLadyH that's what we said this time and I'm already thinking if it hasn't happened this month I'm getting the CB ovulation sticks as they were amazing last time!

@dwightschrutebeets we’ve been using the digital clear blue 2 day ones (pink) but I don’t know whether to try the more pricy ones that show 4 or more fertile days (purple). It’s just such a mine field to me!

Ah that's fab first time - hopefully same again you never know 😂
I have been tracking for a few mo the with ovulation strips - cannot get bbt to work for me. Not sure if I have a dodgey thermo but it's all over the place 😄

Don't worry at all - late cycles are fine I believe as long as your period is 10 days after you ovulate my doctor advised. How long are your cycles normally?

I say 'relaxed' aswell when I have literally not been relaxed a day in my life haha! Stress head 😀

I really want the clear blue but I'm not in the UK and they are even more bloody expensive here! Feel like with supplements, ovulation strips then pregnancy tests already spending a small fortune🙃

@dwightschrutebeets awww that will be a lovely age gap. We have a 1 year old, we were going to wait until 18 months but DH had other ideas 😂

mashm24 · 10/05/2023 09:40

@Mangotango39 I gave up with a BBT a long time ago as mine were all over the place too. Plus I was waking up at odd times with a little baby. I try and go by CM and the strips now! Although, it's all quite confusing. Part of me things the best approach is to go with the flow and hope for the best haha 🤣

I have to keep an eye because we are abit sporadic . In 'non trying times' we will sometimes BD 3 times a week then go 3 weeks without - no rhythm or reason really 😂

glad I am not the only one who just can't crack bbt!

Thanks @Mangotango39 yes I’ve been recording my cycles since I came off the pill and they’re averaging about 28-29 days. So I thought my ovulation days would be in sync, we shall wait and see!

dwightschrutebeets · 10/05/2023 12:29

@mashm24 aw that will be such a lovely gap!! We were ready to try a while ago but we had a big holiday coming up so decided to wait!

@CatLadyH love the gif. I never used the pink ones but I did love the purple. See how you get on with the pink and can always use them in the future if you need to!

@Mangotango39 everything is so expensive! And the endless preg tests too. I tested so much with my last pregnancy I'm going to not do that this time 😂where in the world are you?x

I'm in Australia but I am English 😁
the pink ovulation kit 10 pack is coming up at $40 (full price) so about £20. I just checked boots and seems comparable actually but bloody hell . Just so expensive!

I got some cheaper pregnancy tests on Amazon and going to 'splash out' on FR for if I'm feeling more certain 😁

I feel exactly the same. No symptoms or anything 😂 not giving me much hope. How are you??

MLN89 · 14/05/2023 12:51

Hi Guys,

Wondering if I can hop aboard too even though I'm a little premature.

I'm TTC #2 and have a 2 year old daughter already.

I made a wonderful group of friends on here last time round who I still speak to every single day and it's been such a wonderful experience I'm now looking for my crew for this next pregnancy/baby if I'm lucky enough to get there.

I stopped taking my pill last month as I've not had any natural cycles since having my daughter and I wanted to figure out what they look like. We've been using the old trusty pull out method and so far so good 😂

Won't be TTC in May as we're getting married in June and I'd like to get drunk at my own wedding!

Currently on CD 3 and Flo tells me fertile week next month will be the final week in June which is after the wedding so fingers crossed that's when it's all systems go!

CTMcG · 14/05/2023 15:07

Hey! First month trying for my 2nd here too - cd11 and have pcos, so ovulation is unpredictable but usually between cd20-30!

SupernovaSky · 14/05/2023 17:31

Hi everyone,
Possibly first month trying for #2. Got a 2 or 3 days to decide whether to go for it or not.
My first is about to turn 17 months. We fell really quickly that time (first real month of trying) so really struggling to balance the am I ready if it happens really quickly again? Against the what if it takes a good while and so we need to get started..!
Decisions decisions... Xx

CTMcG · 14/05/2023 19:51

@SupernovaSky I am the same! My little one is just about to turn 13 months. Fell pregnant with her 2nd cycle (although my first cycle lasted 79 days!), my cycles are irregular and I am afraid of it taking forever this time but chancing having 2 under 2 if it happens first time! Lol I just can’t see us being so lucky this time so I am stressing about it and still a week or so away from ovulation! Driving myself silly! Lol
