Any body have any experience with very early pregnancy and post DTD bleed?

Morning, so I’m 13 DPO but had a strong positive since 9DPO. I wasn’t going to test early as I had zero symptoms really but I was bored and couldn’t believe it when I saw a line. Since then the lines grown stronger and stronger and even this morning it’s darker. However last night we DTD and I have been bleeding since, initially pink but now quite red if I hadn’t of tested early I’d just assume my AF is on its way. Has anybody had any experience with this and remained pregnant? I’m not holding out much hope and feeling rather gutted.

How much blood is there and has it got bits in it, or just blood?

Also, (this might be a bit TMI), if DTD energetically, it technically could cause micro tears in the vagina, and being a mucous membrane, vaginal tears can bleed quite a bit, but then go from pink to red to a brownish colour as they heal. And I would suggest that you get some sort of lubrication as well.

Hey Joan! Thanks for replying, I’m a nurse too! 🤚🏼yeah I guess it was quite energetic and a little dry (sorry TMI) I hope it’s just that. No bits in it just very mucous, like blood with egg white mucus.

I’m really sorry, it’s been a hectic few days so I only just saw your reply.

I hope that the spotting is gone by now, because it sounds like DTD was a bit, shall we say, too exuberant and needed more lubrication? Get some KY or similar and keep it handy. It really does just sound like you have a very enthusiastic partner 😉
