8dpo or 9dpo how strong should test be

I'm roughly 9 dpo , found out I'm pregnant today. I should be jumping for joy. But I had two losses before this and can't stop worrying. My clearblue 6 days early was faint positive and the clearblue 6 days early digital said pregnant. Should the clearblue be stronger than just faint. I know I have no right to be this self centered but my losses have affected this happy moment

Most people wouldn't even get a positive yet so even a faint line is good this early!

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 08/05/2023 19:05

I didn't get a positive until 10 dpo, and even then it was 13 dpo before I was convinced it was an actual line not an evap as was so faint!

How quick you get a positive test depends on when you implant, and some aren't even implanted at 8dpo. Unfortunately its one of the worst waiting games in the world (the two week window being another!). Hopefully with your previous losses you'll be offered early reassurance scan at approx 6 weeks?

I'm sorry you've had such a rough journey to get here and I pray this is your rainbow x

Also hoping this is a sticky one for you 😊x

I'm unsure whether I'm 9dpo or 11 as my opk was strong for 3 days and then dropped on the fourth. This is my first response 6 days early today. Surely it should be stronger?

I wouldn't expect the line to be nearly as dark as the control line until atleast your AF is due/late x

I don't know when my period is due as I had a chemical 9 weeks ago and had no period since.

I’ve been in your position @Ella31 so I know how you are feeling. The line on your test is similar to mine at 8/9dpo I only used IC not FRER. I actually ended up getting darker and then lighter lines with those so I stopped using them. I liked Wondfo the best. I’ll attach my 8dpo for you, I’m newrly 17 weeks now after 5 mc last year. Wishing you all the best X

Amyjones86 · 09/05/2023 22:12

Here are my 8/9dpo tests. Although not a FRER I think they are similar. I found testing in the PM much better than first morning.

Sorry I forgot you don't know when AF is due however you say you are either 9 or 11 dpo and average lutheal phase (after ovulation before AF) is 14 days, can be longer so you probably aren't due just yet. My tests at 8 and 9dpo were negative and were only faint a few days later xx

Alloveragain3 · 09/05/2023 22:17

This looks like my FRER at 10dpo (DS is now 3!).

I'd re-test in 2 days to make sure it's darker and then try to stop testing. Otherwise you get stuck in a cycle of comparing very similar tests and worrying they're not as dark as they should be.

Congratulations!

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I hope your own ttc journey is going well xx
