I'm standing here sort of in shock...I've had plenty of chemicals before and am well used to the slow fade to nothing.

But I've been getting such strong positives since 13DPO and finally at 18DPO I decided to slow down on the testing and start skipping days.

So you can see my super dark positive on 18DPO...and just now, the morning of 20DPO, nothing!

I'm not even sad this time, I'm mad (and confused, and yes, a little bit sad)

How has it disappeared so quickly??

Could it be a dodgey test?

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/05/2023 19:01

Faulty test.

Katiex84x · 04/05/2023 19:01

Could it be the hook effect? Try diluting your urine with water and testing again

ovulationleavesmetired · 04/05/2023 19:02

Ok I'm going to try and make myself wee again 😭
Will report back shortly

Oh my god...it WAS a faulty test.
2nd test taken about 20mins after the first.

I'm so relieved. My main sadness came from the thought of telling my husband that another one had disappeared.

Thank you for telling me to retest!!

Your HCG can get to a level that exceeds what the test can detect. Not sure at what point that happens though.

Unlikely to be a chemical, as you say no fade.

Katiex84x · 04/05/2023 19:25

Aww brilliant 🥰🥰

namechange1986 · 04/05/2023 19:31

@Un7breakable I've heard people say this... but I tested until 40 weeks with two pregnancies and they remained positive.

Un7breakable · 04/05/2023 19:43

@namechange1986 Apparently it mainly happens with early detection ones.

@ovulationleavesmetired try with a normal test, should be stronger than the frer. Glad you got a line.
