Hi @LolaStanley1

I’m in a similar boat to you this month. LH surge on the 24th and think I ovulated on the 25th according to my temps. So 3 dpo today.

Also only managed to dtd on the 22nd so 3 days before ovulation, so not holding out much hope this month.

Toddy21 · 28/04/2023 13:11

Mine was yesterday or possibly the day before, both days my ovulation tests had 2 very nice bold lines, both days cramping, bloating and twinges with a little bit of nausea, we DTD both days plus the day before that and he day before that. We do tend to do it every other day anyway but ovulation makes me a bit needy haha so I jump on him whenever we get a chance 🤣🙈 he doesn’t complain.
do I’m either 2PO or 1PO. We are going on holiday in the morning so hopefully a week in the sun will ease the nerves and take the attention off it all for a bit. Let’s hope we get our BFP.

LolaStanley1 · 28/04/2023 13:13

Oh lovely, anywhere nice? We normally DTD frequently but this month just wasn’t possible which is typical with this being the first time I’ve had an Lh surge.

Hey! Ooo very similar! How do you confirm the date with BBT? I’ve been BBT as well just never know when is classed as ovulation.

So I’ve started using the fertility friend app and it confirms your ovulation date after 3 raised temps in a row. I’ll try and attach a photo to show you what I mean.

I’ve only recently started tracking temps so don’t know how accurate this is!

Anybody 2DPO wanna ride the TTW train with me?
Toddy21 · 28/04/2023 13:31

@PurplePanda9 yes I had a nice ride in temp yesterday and Wednesday too, today I’m back to 36.4 so I’m guessing that’s it all done.

@LolaStanley1 we are off to turkey .. in a nice family room lol so thankfully I got my high’s this week otherwise we would have missed it again, last month we missed it completely by ovulating late, I thought we had dtd enough but turned out that I actually ovulated a week later which then caused me to have a 46 day cycle instead of my nice healthy 31 😩

That exact same thing happened to me last month! Ended up with a 46 day cycle and only week we didn’t DTD was the fertility week! What do you mean with that’s it done for the bbt?

LolaStanley1 · 28/04/2023 14:41

Ah yes I can see, so if I have another rise in temp that would confirm 26th as my ovulation date.

Yes, I believe that’s how it works. Then your temp is supposed to stay above the cover line until af is due to arrive or arrives, but stays high if you are pregnant. Many things can make your temp fall or rise though, so may not be very accurate some months🙄

When are you ladies planning on testing? I have a night out planned for next Friday so I will probably use a frer on Friday morning which will be 10 dpo.

LolaStanley1 · 28/04/2023 17:29

I think I’m going try wait til I’ve missed my period so I avoid disappointment. Unless I have signs and symptoms before then? I’ve got bad cramps today that feel like AF

Can I join? Roughly 7dpo. TTC second child. Have had two pregnancy losses in last 8 months so hasn't been an easy process at all. Only managed to DTD twice in fertile window (3 days and 2 days before ov) so not ideal but you never know! Going to test on Tues 😬 how are you all feeling?

Of course! Welcome @tulipsunday I’m sorry to hear about your losses, I hope you get your BFP this month. I’m TTC number 2 but not long started.

Exciting! How old is your son/daughter?🤞you don't have to wait too long for a bfp. Saw you have great restraint and are waiting till after your period to test - very sensible! If I get to 11dpo I feel like I am doing well 😂

LolaStanley1 · 28/04/2023 20:09

He is 3. How old is your child? Ha ha I mean I say I won’t but who knows. I tested early before I had my son and I had a chemical and since then it’s put me off because I’ll always be stressing until after my AF is due

OP posts:
tulipsunday · 28/04/2023 21:12

Yes I don't think I cope with a bfp turning negative a few days later so will try and remember that when tempted to test this wkend. My cycles have been irregular since miscarriage in December so hard to judge though when 'late'. Also have a 3yr old son 😊

Toddy21 · 28/04/2023 22:31

Hi sorry super busy day packing and pampering then just to top it of a toddler who has been constantly sick since I collected him from nursery 😩 I’m trying not tho even think about testing at all until if my AF is late. We have never actively tried to get pregnant before and it’s always just happened, it’s always been a case where my husband has said you are super stressing are you pregnant or he’s said last time there hasn’t been a week off this month haha and I hadn’t even realised so I’m hoping that it might happen if I relax and let him do his magic on me.

LolaStanley1 · 29/04/2023 10:32

Aw I hope you have a lovely time. We haven’t normally actively tried but about 2/3 months I started ovulation testing but I don’t tell my partner if i have a surge because I think he would start stressing and it would get in his head (his words). I don’t know if it’s all in my head as I’m sure I have felt this way before but I weirdly feel like this might be the month. First time I’ve had a surge, had a 3 temp rises to confirm ovulation. DTD within 2/3 days so perhaps if shettles theory is correct I’ll have a little girl.. and I just keep having like period type cramps and a lot of back pain! Anybody else symptom spotting?

OP posts:
tulipsunday · 29/04/2023 12:23

@Toddy21 nightmare when they are ill hope your little one is better. If you can just enjoy sex without the stress of TTC that is definitely the best way.

@LolaStanley1 I do symptom spot but know after being pregnant a few times that I can't call it as always crampy with tender boobs no matter what the outcome (thank you progesterone 😂). Last cycle was bit confusing as I was sure I had implantation bleeding but then turned out to not be pregnant so can't help examining when I go to the toilet!

Same! I’m trying not to get caught up in symptom spotting either… what’s the earliest you can test?

OP posts:
tulipsunday · 29/04/2023 14:43

I tend to use First response early response and when I have been pregnant have had positives from around 10dpo as they are very sensitive though depends when implantation happen - can be later for some.

LolaStanley1 · 30/04/2023 11:46

Do you think you’ll test at 10DPO then? Do you normally get an implantation dip? That’s what I’m gonna try look out for? I’ve woken up absolutely exhausted! I’ve had to have a nap already. Never been so tired!

OP posts:
tulipsunday · 30/04/2023 12:52

Going to wait till Tues which is 11dpo. Tiredness is hopefully a good sign I have felt pretty tired too. I haven't tracked temperature before. Wasn't sure if it would be another thing for me to 'obsess' over but can see why it might be helpful to see if ovulation has occurred. Do look at my resting heart rate though on Fitbit and just the same so far..

BuzzieBo · 30/04/2023 13:02

Can I join? First cycle trying to conceive after a MC. Using the Flo app to track which says I should be 9 days post ovulation. Although I'm not convinced I did ovulate 🤔 I've got very mild tummy cramps but that's it.
Fingers crossed for all of you!

tulipsunday · 30/04/2023 13:20

Good luck @BuzzieBo I am also TTC after a loss (most recent one was in December). It can take time for ovulation to resume and for cycles to regulate post miscarriage which is frustrating. Think I am ovulating now but cycles still irregular. Hopefully you won't have long to wait till bfp

PurplePanda9 · 30/04/2023 16:11

How is everyone today?

I’ve had loads of creamy discharge today and temps are still up but I don’t know what they normally look like as this is only my second month charting and last month they were a bit of a mess due to illness.

When is everyone going to test?

Anybody 2DPO wanna ride the TTW train with me?
