Hi, for context, we're on month 5 of TTC #2 and I've just started tracking ovulation. I started with ClearBlue but ran out after CD 16 and switched to cheapies as the local pharmacy didn't have any ClearBlues. Perhaps down to that, but I didn't seem to get a peak like I've seen described on here – just a slightly stronger line (but still much fainter than the control line) and then nothing. I'm going to test twice a day this month with all the same brand in case I missed it.

Anyway my real question is: if I don't ovulation this month either, would I be able to go straight to the GP for help? I'm 34 and the NHS website says under 35 you need to wait for a year and over 35 you only have to wait 6 months, but if I already know there's an 'issue', would they do anything sooner than their guidelines? Anyone else been in the same boat and can share?

Hey I missed it every month until I done twice a day so you may catch it now that you're going to do it twice a day 😊

I have pcos and don't ovulate , I was under 35 but no unfortunately I still had to wait for referral. To them, If you haven't had this medically confirmed via a blood test then there's no evidence that your not ovulating. Most Gps generally won't help you with this as its not their field. They will most likely refer you to gynae for infertility investigation who will carry out a blood test.
Lh test strips aren't a reliable indicator if your ovulating or not which is why they aren't going to rely on that information.
The surge of LH hormone varies between women. For some it can last a day or two and others it's over in a flash. If they don't test several times a day then they can miss it.
