Anyone fell pregnant dtd once 5 days before ovulation?!

DH and I dtd on Saturday (CD 26). Today, CD 30, I got a peak reading. I know that means ovulation is in the next 24-48 hours however, I had cervical mucus around 5-6 days ago and have had ovulation pain all day today. I guess that means I could have actually got my peak yesterday when I didn’t test?

Basically, is there a chance I could fall pregnant with these readings, when I dtd and my ovulation symptoms today?

Hi there! Sorry I’ve not got a definite answer - but I’m following with interest as I’m in a similar situation!

from my own mad search online about this topic, there have been stories of falling pregnant when the only record of DTD was 4-5 days before egg release!

im kind of hoping that will be the case for me this month anyway! X

DH and I aren’t actually trying until the end of the year, it was a bit of an oopsie but it has left me realising that I am going to be disappointed if my period does arrive in 2 weeks now. Almost want to tell him to lets get to it tonight 😅but his view is if it’s already happened then no issue being earlier than expected BUT that he doesn’t want to actively start trying yet so this 2ww is going to be a weird wait!

@CTMcG oh silly me - I’m so sorry for assuming. Good idea to track ov before you start ttc ! Wish I had done as I’m guessing as I go along.

definitely going to be an interesting TWW for you. think there will be a slim chance but definitely not unheard of.

@Catchafallingstar7 don’t be silly - I didn’t mention it was an oopsie and I am posting on a conception thread so safe to assume 😂

I have 1 DD who is actually 1 today! TTC her, I was a total Monica from friends about it so I think I would love for it to happen so easily this time without actively trying and not have to go through obsessing over it again! If it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen but just the feeling I got earlier suprised me as I thought I wasn’t ready to start trying when I must be or maybe its my hormones - ovulating and my DH turning one on the same day could be the culprits!

Not quite 5/6 days, but my DH and I dtd 3 days before my peak (and not again until 3 days after due to illness) and I'm currently 12 weeks!

@Louemmy19 af arrived and when it did I felt incredibly disappointed so DH and I had a discussion that we would start trying (originally we were going to wait till the end of the year) so I am on cd12 of first cycle actively trying now :)

@FlyingHighFlyingLow we dtd Wednesday night and I got a positive opk this morning , time will tell I suppose (I usually ovulate around cd 18 and this is day 27 so I don’t know what’s going on) not pregnant because we have only done it the once on Wednesday! Even if I was it’s to early to tell must be very late ovulation.

@Louemmy19 it was an oops for us too! I was shocked at my disappointment as I thought I wasn’t ready to start trying. My DD will be 13 months this weekend and I didn’t think I was ready for a 2nd one yet but here we are, starting this overwhelming ttc journey again! Lol

@CTMcG it’s a good age gap mine are 15 months apart :) not sure if I’m ready for number 3 but I’ll be happy either way :)

@Louemmy19 hi there. It wasn’t meant to be for me last month. We’ve made a much more concerted effort this month not quite every day but have paid a lot more attention to timings.

we’ve been quite relaxed before now as i fell quickly previously. But now I’m becoming impatient 🤣
