Hi guys. I posted the oyher day in another forum but thought this one might be better. I wonder if anyone can help me as im going potty!
Started bleeding 31st march lightly around time period was due and assumed it was that. It lasted longer tho so i took a pregnancy test as a long shot. It was positive (that was on 12th april)
Went to doctors on 13th and she said it could be a miscarriage (i would have been 5 weeks pregnant so i assume a chemical pregnancy?) But i need a scan to confirm and have to wait to be 7 weeks for that (im booked in for 25th)
Anyway, im going mad here. The bleeding has stopped (a small but of spotting yesterday aside) but i am gettint v strong positive tests.
My Q is...would i have expected the HCG to have dropped by now??
I also have sore breasts. Can anyone tell me if theirs were still sore a week or so after a chemical?
Going mad waiting for this scan.
These are my tests (most recent is today)
Thanks

Its torture isn’t it? So sorry you are in limbo like this. It would have been nice if the GP had arranged blood tests, that would have given an accurate picture.
Re the tests, I had very strong positives, even when I was bleeding heavily with clots for 4 weeks. I was 6 weeks pregnant.
Fingers crossed all is well on the scan, there are plenty of women who bleed early on and go on to have a healthy pregnancy.
I hope turns out okay.

🤔 Have you not had a blood test done to access your hcg levels ?? Since you've already been to doctor, I find it bizarre that your questioning your hcg levels.
Bleeding is normal in early pregnancy , surely your doctor has told you that also?

A “chemical pregnancy” is still a pregnancy.

it’s basically a term for a very early miscarriage, because the only way you know you’re pregnant is if you test.

it’s possible the pregnancy is continuing, spotting and bleeding in pregnancy isn’t unusual.

I'd definitely be asking for a second opinion in your surgery! Ask to speak to head doctor, I wouldn't let them brush you off! Its such a stressful time and the wait Inbetween could limit your stress
