6dpo and lots of cm

I'm not sure if this usually happens around this time. I've never really paid attention to my cm.

So is this normal? Clear cm, little thicker than egg whites at 6dpo.

Look at signs for CM changes in early pregnancy on the above... I'd say that sounds like what your saying. 😊 xxx

I had ecwm last cycle on 6dpo .. period came 8dpo. I didn't ovulate last cycle at all

@Floralsandsmiles thank you!! Helpful link.

@MK85 my opk was positive but I guess that doesn't really mean I ovulated. That would be a bummer.... How do u know you didn't ovulate?

@VixFromThe6ix sorry I meant cycle before last I had ewcm at 6dpo ( which ive never experienced before) but then my period came at 8dpo ( which is short for me )
My last cycle I didn't ovulate at all :( I had a positive opk but progesterone showed i didn't release an egg. Bummer. I'm really hoping this month I've successfully ovulated. Had my positive opk on 27th march and temps are staying above baseline so hopefully that's a sign I did but I'm too nervous to test yet as I'd like to keep dreaming for a few more days.
When would your period normally he due ?I did a fair bit of researching and apparently an increase in cm is really common at multiple times during your cycle, not just ovulation. There's lots of past threads from other users about the same thing. It's most common at ovulation and just before period as that's when estrogen surges. It could be your period is just around the corner , or some poeple say they have an increase in cm before getting their BFP . I was able to get pregnant at the end of last year but it's not something I ever experienced. The the cm could also just mean nothing at all.
I'm getting alot of increase in cm today aswell but its very lotiony.

@MK85 I had lots of cm on 6dpo and since then it's been normal... Last cycle my period came on 12dpo so I don't thi k my period is due for a few days. 8dpo today and I tested and got bfn. I got bfp at 8dpo with my son. So likely cm may have been due to some hormone surge.... Who knows. Now that we are TTC, we pay more attention to things and I think everything is a symptom haha
So did you take a progesterone test? I'm so curious cause I still wonder of I'm ovulating.... And I dunno how to check other than with opks. I can't bbt cause my toddler still wakes up in the night and I usually don't have much time in the morning to measure bbt as he's usually pushing me off the bed to take him to the play room 🤣

I've read it can be a good sign however a couple of cycles I've experienced a lot around that time and it's meant nothing. I think it's linked to another estrogen surge around that point in the cycle. At 6dpo its rare the egg would have even implanted yet so wouldnt really cause any symptoms

VixFromThe6ix · 08/04/2023 01:39

@Rosegold3112 you're probably right.... I tested today at 8dpo and got a bfn. It was probably some hormone surge.

@VixFromThe6ix don't give up hope. On the cycle I got my bfp I didn't get it til 14dpo. Had started testing 10dpo that month and nothing which is crazy as I've seen some women on here saying they got positives at 6dpo which is crazy as they say the journey from fertilisation to implantation takes anywhere from 6 to 12 days.
I'm currently 12dpo 🤞if I successfully ovulated this month but I'm too nervous to test yet as I feel it'll probably be another month of disappointment.
I had a progesterone test arranged through fertility clinc to access if i was ovulating or not but I think you can buy kits for home use that can tell if you've ovulated or not. It's fda approved and costs around £25 to £30 .
I think your right with every little thing we experience you wonder if its a sign that this month is going to be the one
