Hi LMDB - I think you need to wait until your AF is due to do the test unless you want to get a clearblue megabucks one and do it 4 days before AF is due. Its highly possible that you are pregnant though and apparently have a higher chance of a girl if you have sex before the egg is released and not during.

I'm in a similar situation to you but I have no idea when my AF is due as I had mm/c exactly 4 weeks ago but we had sex on the sunday and ovulated on the Wednesday (the ovultions pains so obvious and hurt so much - I know thats what it was). I'm secretly hoping that I am pregnant although we were going to wait for one AF before ttc.

thanks pcp. Not sure when af is due though, but as my old (pre DD) cycle was 25 days, I'll go with that, so I should be able to test next Mon or Tue

I'm feeling like there is something going on as I'm needing the loo constantly. I'm very impatient to know one way or the other.

So I tested this morning and BFN. However if the four days of spotting I had from Sat-Tues (day 2-24 of my cycle) was my AF then it was early as I was expecting it to start on Fri.

So either it was implantation bleed and test didn;t pick it up early - unlikely I think as no other symptons or it was a very early and very light period (not once did it mark the pad - only saw it when I wiped.

Don't give up hope SOR, I think it sounds promising I doubt your af was that early?? Do you necessarily have to have other symptoms, I've been pg twice and didn't get any symptoms with either until I got the BFP (see I'm getting into the lingo now )

Hi there everyone, I'm a newbie to mumsnet and forums in general, not sure what all the abbreviations mean so will have to type in long hand, but sure I will get there.

I have a 2yr old boy and we have been trying for another baby for 4 months nothing as yet.

We decided to try ovulation tests this month and bought Clear Blue Digital test kit £23!! nearly popped off at the price didn't realise place like Ebay sell them until reading here at a fraction of a price.

My cycles are anything from 24 to 31 days so started tesing on day 9, still nothing and on day 14 only one stick to go! Think I will be going shopping today.

My qustion is has anybody else used the Digital kit and what are there experiences, another concern I have is that I have been testing first thing in the morning as it says in the instructions you can. But since reading here the general opinion seems to be to test later in the day, have I wasted 6 days and missed my chance this month?

thanks Barrelrider - I think it was af as have pcos but af every month and doctor says I am practically normal in that respect but I have on occasion had early af and late af - so I geuss this was a very early and very light one.

Took yet another test today and still neg, feels like AF is comming tummy cramps etc...

I'm due on Saturday. Can I join in? I'n not expecting much, but you never know...

No symptoms other that feeling RIDICUOUSLY emotional. I cried like a baby when I went past my old house and saw that they'd dug up my favourite plants in the garden. I hope I am pg, otherwise that is some seriously crazy behaviour!

How early is too early to test?

I'm due af on Saturday and just got BFP with Sainsbury's own brand pg test (£3.98 for two, and claim to detect hcg up to 4 days before af).
But have been having light bleeding all day so not sure what to think. Also my boobs are much bigger than normal and I've had waves of nausea.

I think Af just came properly today (on due date) having been spotting for five days. And Sis in law told me today she is 10 weeks pg.

smell of roses I think my AF is about to come today. I'm sure I had a very early miscarriage as (unfortunately) I know immediately when I am pregnant. I am sure that my SIL is about to announce she is 12 weeks pregnant with her second on Sunday. It is hard on us. I am very lucky to have my DD of 15 months and if she is the only child I have then thats fine by me.

Hope there are BFPs out there soon.

Its so hard when others (your sisters/friend) are announcing they are pg when you want it so much to be you.

BFN for me this morning

Still clinging to the hope that I've just tested too early (due 25th-ish)

phee, me too, i think i know that i'm not pg but still a little bit of hoper , my periods are not regular, i am due on around now, tested last night and BFN

BFP and light bleeding has now turned into agonising cramps and heavy bleeding
This pg was unplanned but we're still pretty disappointed.

Well I didn't test too early. AF arrived this morning. Looking on the bright side, my cycles are becoming more regular - this was bang on 28 days

My 8 days of spotting turned into full Af this weekend. Don't quite understand what happened but hey ho.
