Pain around ovary area AFTER ovulation

Its only been a few days around 3 days or 4 days since peak ovulation yesterday morning I woke up and had lots of pain around ovary area. We dtd the night before. I don't know if this is something I need to get looked at or if its normal. I have it all day aswell and it's now the 4th day since peak. Could it be related to ovulation ? Surely ovulation wouldn't be 4 days after peak ? Would sex give you pain around the area ? My best friend said to me maybe your having an etopic but isn't that too early to be having any pain ?

@Creamcracker00 did you ever find out what it was? App has me at 2dpo and I got my peak 4 days ago and just got shooting pain in my left ovary. Didn’t last long and ok now but very weird! I’d imagine I already ovulated🤔

I had this last month - I thought it was ovulation pain but it didn’t go away and carried on until my next ovulation! And then stopped immediately at that point.

my hypothesis is it was maybe a corpus luteum cyst (after the egg is released a cyst grows over the site).
