Hi,
Im looking for some positive responses.
we have a 7 month old who we conceived before my husband who is 28 was diagnosed with high blood pressure.

we want to have our kids close together but I’m panicking Incase my husbands blood pressure medication which is called ramipril will interfere with this. I just want to know does anyone have or been in a similar situation??
my husband has asked the doctor and he doesn’t seem to think it will have an effect but you know dr Google. I shouldn’t have read anything because now it has me stressing 🙄😅

There is no evidence that ramipril affects male fertility. Women are advised not to take it during pregnancy but plenty of men father children whilst taking this medication.
If he is over weight, a heavy drinker, smoker with a bad diet that caused his high BP, all those things would be more likely to affect his fertility imo.

ok that’s good to know.
no he actually isn’t any of those that you listed so doctor is putting it down to genetics but we’re unsure of that to as it’s not in the family. It could potentially be stress as he always has a busy mind and we have been very busy the last 3 years. Bought a house, got married and a baby 😂
but he is looking into ways of calming his mind and dealing with stress.
but the main thing is blood pressure is good on the medication.

Hopefully it all work so it for us 🙏🏼
thank you for the reply x
