I’m currently taking folic acid & vitamin D vitamins. But I’m not sure if the ones I’m taking would be the right strength if anyone else is taking these exact ones? (I know my folic acid is fine it’s these vitamin D ones)

I have ordered the seven seas trying for a baby, but after read on this forum that quite a lot of people have found they have really messed with their cycle, I’m not sure I’m going to take them.

any advice welcome, or what else I should also take ontop of these?

@MK85 - my cycles are anything between 28-33 days. It differs each month depending on when I ovulate. This month I didnt ovulate until CD17/18 so has pushed my AF abit for next month again.
My doctors are awful in fairness, so I doubt they would help me. My PCOS hasn't been overly bad symptoms wise, my endo though has given me quite a lot of flare ups in the last year & I've had 2 surgeries already (last one being around 10 years ago when I was 18/19)
Oh I'm so sorry to hear, sending you loads of baby dust & hope this is your cycle.
It's hard to know what you need to give your body to help getting pregnant without getting tests and just a guessing game.

I've been on pregnacara about 1 year and my cycles have been fine. Just because something has affected someone else doesn't mean it'll affect yours.

Nmmck93 · 29/03/2023 16:10

@Matildahoney oh I know, I mostly go on reviews on other people. If there's more negative than positive reviews I'll make the decision on that.
I do however have trying for a bay seven seas, read some bad reviews about it but then since starting this thread more people have said it's been fine for them so I'm going to give them a go instead before switching to something else as I have a two month supply of them.
I usually order things in bulk so this is what I did for them lol.

@Nmmck93 that's great your cycles seem regular so hopefully you do ovulate every month. Since you are regular gps probably won't do much for you with testing levels unless you've been trying unsuccessfully for 2 years.
Fingers crossed my regular cycles stick. I was previously having one to 2 periods a year 😔 I was prescribed metformin and clomid but it was all the supplements that ive found really helped and I'm now having a period every month and ovulating.
Since you said you have endo aswell try and focus on anti inflammatory foods which is really important if you have endo. Things like blueberries, brocolli , tumeric , almonds ect worthwhile looking up.
I don't have confirmed endo , just suspected at this stage . I'm awaiting a laproscopy . On the one month I conceived I was taking tumeric tablets which i read is apparently highly recommended for endo as its great for immflamation. Interestingly I got pregnant that month but you can only take it upto ovulation. It definitely helps immflamation as I had an ultrasound showed swelling around one tube and the sent me for a dye followed by another scan when I went to RFC and they said everything looks fine but my local consultant wanted me to go ahead with the investigative surgery anyway to check it out and to check for endo

@MK85 yeah, I wouldn’t say they’ll even speak to me lol. Oh my PCOS was never that severe, I always had a period but it was so messed up.
Yeah I had my to laparoscopy with it a year of each other, first one was private as they where messing me about constantly saying it was a flare up in the appendix by my family knew it was something more, thankfully the doctor privately took me so serious and done his upmost best and had me in surgery within 4 weeks. Hopefully you get seen soon!
Yeah, I’ve been doing that for years with foods. Aswell.
i called to boots after work and grabbed omega 3, calcium with vitamin D&K and Vitamin C and have them all in a little tablet holder with my seven seas trying for a baby. If you shook me I’d rattle the amount I’m going to take. I did get a chat with my cousin who is a doctor and she said I 100% need vitamin D without even testing because of where I live and how I’m always wrapped up because I’m such a cold person. I’m only ever warm in a foreign country!
fingers crossed we both get the results we want very soon 🤞🏻

@Un7breakable pregnacare or seven seas?

@Reugny thank you for that, I could nearly bet that I’m low due to living in such a miserable city where we get sun for like 2 weeks on a year 🙈 but I do appreciate your advice. I’m definitely going to sit down tonight and look into the home kit and maybe contact my doctor for a test there first.

@Mushroo oh, so maybe stay away from those. It’s just so hard to know what to give your body in preparation.

Pregnacare. I'm on seven seas now and no issue.

Nmmck93 · 30/03/2023 10:08

@Un7breakable thank you, I actually just bit the bullet and started seven seas last night with the rest of my vitamins and hoping for the best.
thank you.

@Nmmck93 What’s your BMI and also your ethnicity as that affects how much folic acid and vit D you should be taking.

Nmmck93 · 03/04/2023 17:13

@Madwife123 im not sure on my BMI as I don’t weigh myself due to having an unhealthy obsession with weighing myself a few years ago.
But I have the palest white skin ever and a natural ginger. I also live in Northern Ireland where the sun shows itself for a whole month in a year lol.

@Nmmck93 well fertility did advise me to take a vitamin d on top of a conception multivitamin which also contains vitamin d so I assume the higher dose must be safe. They surely wouldn't advise me to take a dose that is unsafe. Alot of the advice I've read online too suggest a higher dose of vitamin d when trying to get pregnant . Alot of us here are actually deficient in vitamin d anyways

Nmmck93 · 10/04/2023 10:24

@MK85 yeah, I’m sure it’ll cause no harm taking abit extra.
