Cycle 24-25 days, OV day 5 or 7 - too short to conceive?

Hi everyone,

Been ttc for a few months now, which has led me to track my cycle. My cycle is normally 24 or 25 days, and I ovulate on Day 7 usually (Day 6 occasionally).

Has anyone had any luck with a similar cycle length?

Is ovulation being confirmed by OPKs and BBT? That does sound unusually early but we are all different. I wouldn’t think it should affect your chance of conception though - an egg is an egg.

@sukiwh so I'm using ovulation sticks, and they seem to show I'm ovulating on the same day as my Flo app reports. I also have egg white discharge and my sex drive seems much higher. So I think I'm definitely ovulating early.

Yes, read that my egg may not be mature enough for pregnancy by day 7, which has got me worried 😕 hopefully I just need more patience!

I'm having this problem currently. I usually ovulate around day 10-14 but I had ewcm and open cervix yesterday at cd 7 and those are signs I will ovulate the next day. I hope my cycles don't fall short now as I've also heard that this early the egg is not mature yet and the uterus lining is not thick enough to support a pregnancy. Conception is possible but rather unlikely.

My period seems lately to be a 25 day cycle, I used to track ovulation but haven't for a while now, but I've noticed some signs of ovulation, seems a few days after period has finished. When I was testing for ovulation I got a positive ovulation test on cycle day 11.

It’s possible to conceive from ovulation on Day 11, I have a one year old from that conception. I have conceived but had mc from day 9 ovulations. Ovulation confirmed by Ovusense.

I did push back my ovulation from day 7 to day 11 and successfully conceived by taking high strength b6 and Ubiquinol for egg health. So worth trying that.

We are trying again from this morning and I’m taking those already.

@Redpanda21 that's interesting that you were able to push back your ovulation day. I bought some my midwife expert conception vitamins and C q10 vitamins. I've got some b6 vitamins aswell.

I'm definitely ovulating today on CD9 the weird thing is I've never had as much of EWCM as I do today and my cervix is widely open other months it was just a little bit open.

Only way to confirm ovulation is temping.

I would try b6 etc to try bump your ovulation each month as the egg will be much better quality
