Hi so I was prescribed clomid ( cannot get in touch with the gynaecologist who prescribed it as they won't let me speak to them or give me an appointment as i have to invited)
I was given 4 cycles , tracking will be done for first to see how I respond. This is being done by nhs .
I saw 2 different gynaes, one just before it was prescribed who told me phone EPU early preg unit in a hospital 30 miles away .another gynae wrote me a letter after appointment with him with instructions he told me ring local hospital which is 10 miles and arrange it with the secretarial staff.. that's all he said. He didn't even say which department to ask for when I ring to book.
local hospital is very basic and is more like a health centre hospital If that makes sense.
I don't know what is the secretarial staff.
What department exactly do I need to contact? Is it epu specifically i need to contact or can any gynae do it? I took provera to bring on a bleed and I'm due a bleed any day now and confused what to do.

I would contact the Patient Advice and Liason Service (PALS) at the setting that gave you clomid and tell them what's happened and they should will get someone from that dept to contact you and clarify the situation. You should be able to find contact details for PALS on the hospital's website. They are essentially a complaints dept, and designed to resolve issues like this quickly to keep bigger complaint numbers down. I'm a clinician in the NHS ;)
