FFS. Just when you start to hope...tw miscarriage

I'm under the recurring miscarriage clinic after multiple early losses and am just starting investigations with them.
Last Wednesday I was exhausted and just on the off chance decided to take a test, which showed a faint positive. I took another with fmu on Thursday, which was much clearer. I've been taking progesterone pessaries since Sunday prescribed by the MC clinic.
The third in the photo is from this morning, clear as day bfp!
Just now I went to wipe and saw a faint trace of blood. My heart is sinking. I'm devastated.
Could it be implantation bleeding? Or is this the start of another miscarriage?
I felt swirling implantation pain Wed/Thur/Fri on and off.
One thing I know is that no matter what I do, no matter how often I test, there's nothing I can do to change the outcome.
I guess I'm looking for advice, similar stories and also a bit of a handhold?

This is such a nerve wracking time! How many weeks would you be/is your period already late?

WolfSky · 20/03/2023 19:16

I can see why you are worried but you can bleed and have a healthy pregnancy so don’t loose hope just yet.
I had 2 miscarriage and 2 term babies and I bled with one of the healthy pregnancies.
My fingers are crossed for you xx

@pippabg thanks for replying. It really is! I'm due on around now I think, my cycles have been messed up the last two months so my app doesn't work properly any more in predicting my cycles as the length is up and down. I'm technically 3 weeks 6 days today.

This really is such a hard time I totally empathise. I have experienced chemical and early miscarriages and it is heart breaking when you wish to be pregnant so badly. I went on to have two healthy pregnancies (in late thirties/early forties) my one word of advice which helped me was to not test for two whole weeks after a missed period, I'm not sure how many days since your period due. I got to a stage where I was so nervous of the results and constantly checking my knickers that I found it was the best way to remain hopeful and not know one way or the other if that make sense. Keeping everyone crossed for you .. I too had slight bleeding in the very early stages of my healthy pregnancies, I was scanned at the early pregnancy unit with each at around 4/5 weeks

Thanks for being so kind. No more blood at the moment, but I think I will call the MC clinic tomorrow and ask if they can offer any earlier scans, EPU booked me in for mid April. I know there won't be much to see - @mummybear2104 if you don't mind me asking how you got them to offer regular and early scans with you?

Oh bless you. Try to hold out if you can and just see what happens. going for early scans etc will likely just add more stress.

mummybear2104 · 20/03/2023 21:19

After getting a initial referral from the Gp I then rang epu and reiterated my concerns and they were very supportive and brought the appt forward. They were so kind and continued to scan me fortnightly until my 12 week scans. Good luck, try to think positive thoughts x

This was me three years ago. I was bawling on the phone to the miscarriage helpline cos I’d had some dark brown bleeding around 5 weeks and had two early losses previously (around 6 weeks). He’s now two years old and lying next to me. That line progression looks really good OP. The miscarriage helpline were lovely, I recommend them if you need someone to talk to. She said to me I was possibly still pregnant cos my tests were so clear and she was right. It’s so hard to talk to friends and family about this. They may have their own experiences or may not get it. Sending you all the love and luck x x x

I’ve had multiple miscarriages and two healthy babies and I’ve had bleeding with every single pregnancy. With my two successful pregnancies, I had bleeding around the time AF was due, then again at around 8 weeks.

I know this is so incredibly tough. Do whatever you need to do to cope - I used to be up in the middle of the night watching shows for comfort xx

Rtmhwales · 20/03/2023 22:08

I've been there. Three recurrent miscarriages, then an ectopic. Got pregnant in December and had a massive bleed around 5/6 weeks. Like catastrophic. Baby (actually turned its babies!) were fine. Another huge bleed at 9 weeks and still fine. Currently approaching 17 weeks. Some people just bleed during pregnancy.

So it's really impossible to say but I hope it's positive for you!

So I think that looks like a pretty strong positive. When I had my chemical, the lines were very faint and never got darker. It's a really good sign your HCG is getting higher if the lines getting darker! You could try other tests because first response is quite sensitive, but that can sometimes add to the anxiety.

In my current pregnancy (now 28 weeks), I had bloody discharge at around 6 weeks and all was fine. The EPU scanned me at about 6 weeks too. Did you say they'd see you middle of April? Try to see if they'll see you sooner in about 2 weeks (which I know is still a long time to wait). Some will take you in directly, some ask for GP referral. When I rang, they suggested if it would take too long to get a GP appointment to go to A&E and the doctor there can refer you. Bit of a farse, but I got a scan in 2 days.

At this stage, it's about 50/50 - it could be bad news or it could be implantation bleeding (it's about the right time for it). Keeping my fingers crossed and please let us know how it goes.

pippabg · 27/03/2023 21:03

Just wanted to check in to see how things were going? Hope you're doing okay.

justsayso · 01/04/2023 16:57

Hi @pippabg
Thanks so much for checking in, unfortunately I'm none the wiser at this stage - no more blood thankfully but my 8 week scan isn't until April 17th. I guess I just have to sit tight til then. My symptoms (sore boobs!) have reduced and no sickness yet, but I'm only 5+4 so maybe too early. I just wish there was a way to be sure.
