Looking for advice! No sign of AF & false cheapies…

So basically AF is due today… it hasn’t arrived but I’m BFN this morning on a cheapie.
I had really uncomfortable pains yest morning as if AF would come (and normally I spot a few days before) but there’s been nothing.

I had spotting which was similar to why could be described as implantation bleeding at the right time - just wondering if anyone had a BFN for a few days after AF was due or if AF arrived for you and it turned out to be something else?

I had a chemica back in November. Periods very consistent each month - no issues with cycles.

I took a cheapie this morn and yest, which was negative. It’s all very strange! X

Any update OP? I'm in a very similar position. BFN day of period and BFN today, technically late. Usually on a 27-28 day cycle and now on day 30! Very odd.

I know it's hard but lay off the tests. No amount of tests changes the results.

My gp friend advises to wait until 5 days after your period is due to allow for natural variation in the cycle and conceptions that fail to progress (this is many) saves so much anguish

Hello! Same here - still no sign and still BFN. I’m actually really chill about it with the testing, as in I test and expect nothing more than a BFN but it is really odd. I just wish AF would arrive now although from research it seems quite common to have an odd cycle… weird.

@gogohmm thank you - I only was aware of my chemical in Nov because I felt strange and had a smear booked in for 10am so I had to test. This was a day earlier than my cycle but I swore I’d not test early again. With my AF being due on Sat, I wanted to make sure I could enjoy myself with a few drinks - hence the test. I appreciate your advice though! Definitely a good way to manage expectations and lessen any disappointment although I’m always set up and mentally prepared to fail 😂 part and parcel of trying for so many years. The chemical was actually a positive outcome in some ways as I never knew I’d get that far! Glad I tested in that sense 😊

I had this in January with period ending up being five days late and me being very confused as, like you, I'm very regular! It seems to be a 'normal' variation though, and probably delayed by stress.

Have you been unwell recently? My period was around 3 days late the month after I had a horrid virus.

@Williams3001 @AllOfThemWitches thank you! Nope nothing, I honestly don’t feel stressed or anything either - this month I’ve probably been the most chill I’ve ever been 😂 I’m just taking it as a dodgy cycle and hope things go back to normal next month… very strange!
