Late period and strong opk result (see pic)

I was due AF yesterday, no preg tests at home and so took an ovulation test in the meantime just because I am impatient and needed to poss! the line came up darker than expected! I know it’s not a match on hpt but just reaching out whilst I wait to get a test tomorrow. Any stories to share?

I had a positive in an ovulation stick for my second pregnancy. I would assume congratulations are in order.

Mine used to get darker like this day or two before AF but I did one as an experiment when I was 5 weeks pregnant and it was an extremely strong positive so could go either way. Good luck 😊

Mine were also very dark, I think by the time my period was late the test line was darker than the control xx

Yup, surprise pregnancy so I dipped every test I could find - the LH tests were positive as well as the HCG tests!

Thanks ladies, after many years and losses along the way it would be great! I’ve never done an OPK this late before so I’ve nothing to compare it to around this time but it’s keeping my brain busy finding something different to research😩 😀

lh can surge when your period is due, your test is also negative and we always have LH in our systems, if it was a positive there's always a chance it could be due to pregnancy ~ after years of infertility and testing this out usually if your LH is positive due to pregnancy, you'd have an obvious positive pregnancy test also... hope this helps and good luck for when you test 🙏

You always have some LH in your body and it’s very common to get a slight surge just before your period. I wouldn’t say that was dark enough to be a positive ovulation test so I wouldn’t put it down to pregnancy. The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test

Yes that makes total sense, I guess I will be finding out soon either way soon x
