Clearblue Advanced - flashing smiley but no static

Hi ladies,
Looking for anyone else with experience of these ovulation tests.
I've used cheapie OPKs for several cycles and I have never once had a positive. Very close positives but never a true one. I get EWCM and ovulation cramps, with periods every 30 days. I would like to pinpoint O ready for when DH and I start TTC in the next month or 2. This month I bought the CB advanced, so no lines to interpret. I've had a flashing smiley on CD11, 12, 13, and 14 which is today but no static. I will test again tomorrow and Friday then I'm out of sticks and they aren't cheap.
Just wondered if anyone else never got a static smiley but still went on to get a BFP that month?

How long is your cycle usually?

CinderRosie · 08/03/2023 10:31

@mybunniesandme average of 30 days - anything between 27-32

My cycles are 30 days too and I usually have a static around day 16. Keep testing, some women have multiple days of flashing before they’ll get a static

I've seen people having up to 10 days of flashing before they get their static so you may be ovulating later than you think. Keep testing and get more sticks, it will be worth it in the ling run

Yes I agree you may need to keep testing in this instance - the holder does become more accurate the more you use it so you may find next month is totally different

Thanks everyone, got my static this morning!
