I tried to sway girl and it worked!

I know gender swaying is so controversial but I’m purely posting this here for anyone who (like me last year) doesn’t know much about it and might want to give it a go. It’s just a bit of fun and doesn’t guarantee anything. Ultimately a healthy baby is all anyone wants, please scroll past if this is triggering in anyway to you.

We have a little boy already, who was conceived on ovulation day. I didn’t know anything about gender swaying at the time but according to the shettles/baby dust methods this would be likely to sway boy. This time we thought it might be nice to sway our odds the other way although would have been lovely to have either (and will hopefully have three kids so would be delighted regardless).

We tried for three months with a 2-3 day ‘cut off’ as the baby dust method suggests. So you have sex 2 or 3 days before ovulation, just one attempt on one day then stop. Clearly after 3 months this wasn’t working and the baby dust method suggests then going closer to ovulation but instead I decided to do a bit of the shettles method and try every day in row then stop and have the same 2 and a half day cut off. So we ‘tried’ three nights in a row then stopped.

It worked! I’ve had it confirmed this week, it’s a girl! 💕 Has anyone else tried it? Did it work for you?

The bit about identifying as a gender still pisses me off but that batshit reaction to the construct (rather than continuing feminist principles by continuing to attempt to dismantle the construct) is here to stay for a while it seems.

Honestly, if you're going to be that disappointed with a boy baby of either sex, you shouldn't be getting pregnant.

No, boys play with conkers, so the boy sperm are so distracted they swim the wrong way and you get a girl! Result!

Mine was wrong 😆 said I was expecting DD2 when actually it’s a boy! Had the shock of my life at the anomaly scan (and yes it was the proper NIPT via ultrasound direct, not the sneak peek thing).

Since then, there’s been quite a few posts about it being wrong!

@Moonicorn, I saw one recently where a grandmother let off a pink cannon, or threw something pink to trick her daughter who desperately wanted a little girl. I appreciate that her mum was a massive arse in that situation but that little boy will grow up knowing she was sad he wasn't a girl.
I'm a misery when it comes to gender reveals or baby showers though, they're just not my jam so I accept I'm not the target audience for that kind of thing.

Yeah this can work. We got a boy this way. Although before that we got a girl with same method. So I guess it works 50% of the time.

Husband was not impressed as for a boy you supposedly hold off until the perfect cycle moment whereas for a girl you go at it like rabbits. We were newly weds so that must be why we got more girls than boys!

Imagine if you did have another boy. Even if you never mentioned it to him you'd always know that you'd actively tried to have a different baby.

And now you're telling people you essentially got the sex you wanted (however you try to play it down). The opposite sex of your living child.
