very faint FRER a month after miscarriage - help

I had a miscarriage about a month ago
I have since had negative tests after they remained positive for a little while
I have been “feeling” pregnant same symptoms except no breast tenderness
I had early raging symptoms last time before I realised I was pregnant but they had gone away.
I have just done a FRER and have the faintest of lines that is not fully pink but not grey either it’s like so faint but it came up in the time window

is this just old circulating HCG or could it be I am pregnant or some retained tissue or something making me feel like this

If you had negative tests after your MC & have since ovulated then there's a good chance it's a new pregnancy (if it's a true BFP & not an evap). Hopefully it you're testing again in the next day or two it will get darker🤞🏼

I keep thinking it would be too early to be a new one I’m sort of wondering if it’s just some old hcg kicking about
I did do one previous FRER I had left and it was definitely negative though
Other tests were less sensitive I just did them as I bought too many when I had the surprise pregnancy I was just in shock I think

If it was a new pregnancy I think I’d have ovulated only a week after mc was confirmed in a second scan (about 12/13 days after bleeding started in total). But at the first scan it was there and still possibly viable (despite bleeding for 5 days by then) & this was only two days before the second scan took place-
it just seems too soon to have possibly ovulated again
sorry I’m not being very articulate!

It's not impossible for that to have happened, were you watching for any signs of ov & continuing to TTC? Really the only way to tell is to retest & see if it's darker. I know the wait is difficult.

No I did a far too brazen google search and saw generally the earliest would be 2 weeks and vaguely 4/6 weeks -
we since had some epic bad times unfortunately & haven’t ttc’d
I felt like it just wouldn’t happen (we’ve mostly risked it for 3.5 years and had one mc, now two, and 2 brief CPs) I had reasons to think my partner has very low fertility (pituitary issues etc)
I suppose if taken from the first day of any spotting, rather than the first day of it no longer being there, it would possibly be almost two weeks
it would be about 6 days from my scan confirming it had gone though which was just 2 days after it had still been there
so I think it’s so early

sorry I’m still not being very articulate at all! I think basically
It would have had to have been conceived very soon after mc if it’s that 😱 which seems very unlikely
I usually use an app and have quite regular cycles but no idea what’s going on anymore
not watching for signs of ovulation no, I sometimes get pain but don’t remember that
I was shocked the first time then worried then happy then sad then relieved then really really sad! arh
really hard to wait
I just feel pregnant I’m a bit stunned there was a very faint second line at all

Did you test again OP?

ohnoh · 07/03/2023 17:03

I retested today with an FRER and it looks the same, definitely not darker (but I did it just now and didn’t hold my pee first! Sorry for tmi)
I think it’s probably just hcg from before
I guess I have to be more patient and retest later

Called the EPU and they told me to retest in a week
also faintly visible on less sensitive test today 😵‍💫 panicking a bit

Do you have another to try again tomorrow? If it's getting darker that's a good thing hopefully, especially if you'd been getting negatives. Unfortunately waiting is the only way you'll find out

ohnoh · 11/03/2023 00:53

It is darker but I am stunned if it’s a new one as it would have meant I ovulated literally a week after my miscarriage I think
We were falling out a fair bit and not ttc again now at all really
I think it’s most likely it is a new one rather than some continuing thing
not sure if the earlier tests I did were not sensitive though
feel a bit weird!

Do you have a picture of the test progress from when it was lighter to now? Could it be you didn't have a complete miscarriage? Maybe best to speak to your GP on Monday just in case. It can really put pressure on a relationship in amongst all of this, hope you're doing ok

ohnoh · 13/03/2023 12:55

So the tests got darker and now are lighter again
and since yesterday my symptoms have gone
I think maybe it was a new one and I’ve lost it again or am losing jt - I just have this gut feeling it’s not alright if it’s there
I will try to post some pics but there was definitely a line although it’s now lighter today than yesterday

Things like my boobs are no longer sore or swollen etc
just happened overnight at the weekend
I don’t really know what is going on anymore
