Clearblue says 1-2 but strong line and I'm 5 weeks

Morning. This is over 5 years of ttc (including lots of ivf, 3 surgeries and 4 early miscarriages) for me so emotions are high. According to my clinic I am 5 weeks. My first response lines have been slow to progress but definitely there. I had a good line on first response this morning (photo is from 3 mins, it got darker) yet clearblue weeks says 1-2 which means HCG of 10! If I'd just done the clearblue one I'd be devastated. Now I'm just panicking/ very confused. It was a first morning wee, so not dilute. Anyone had similar happen?

629 and I was 5 1/2 weeks on that date, but I do think I implanted on the later side. So I'm range for 5 weeks. Done the second test just now so will have to see if it's doubling in 48-72 hrs. But pretty good news I think!

Just an update to say that my HCG is doing the right thing (was about 47 hours after the first) and the doctors notes say it should double every 48-72 hrs ish. Got a scan at my recurrent miscarriage clinic tomorrow.

Had my scan. It’s measuring 5wks plus 5 instead of 6wks plus 5. So not ideal, but could be a late implantation or could be chromosomal problem or natural killer cells not under control (I'm on steroids, hydroxy and intralipids for this already). There was a light heartbeat, correct for 5+5. Going back next Friday for another scan. This is how my last pregnancy went, but that was ivf so couldn’t be late implantation. Not sure what to think really. Going to try and keep some hope.

How accurate can they be at measurements when they’re that tiny? Are they able to know for sure?

It’s so hard when you’ve experienced loss. Hoping means being brave. Hold on to the fact there’s a heartbeat.

Thank you. They can't be that accurate as it is absolutely tiny, but a whole week wrong is a concern. If I hadn't had a trigger it would be less of a concern. They count the weeks as a usual 14 day ovulation and my trigger was day 15 so if you guess actual ovulation as cd 17, so that would account for 3. I think it could go either way. The heartbeat was a positive and the embryo is in a good place (not in my c-section niche where fluid can gather). My appt has just been moved to Thursday, so one less day to wait. I'd be less worried if my last pregnancy/miscarriage wasn't a similar story.

Another update. I had another scan at miscarriage clinic today. It is still measuring exactly a week behind but has grown 8 days worth since I was here 8 days ago and now has a strong heartbeat. So not out of the woods but promising. So I'm meant to be 7+6 but I'm 6+6. I've been feeling pretty pessimistic so was surprised! Fingers crossed. Coming back in 2 weeks.

Another update. I had my 9+6 scan today and it's measuring 9+0 (past two scans have been 7 days behind each, so this is good/better). Strong heartbeat. I've been spotting brown though since Tuesday evening, which is a worry. I think it's approx when my period would have been so hoping it'a linked to that and doesn't last much longer. Going back in 2 weeks for another scan.

Congratulations! The brown is old blood so try not to worry too much.

@seven201 congratulations! Looks like it’s going well. I had a positive for the first time ever following a year of ovulation induction following our final cycle before moving to ivf. Official test day is Saturday but I couldn’t resist testing early. I just can’t shake the feeling it is going to end in loss so I hope I follow your good news

Another update for others who might stumble on this in the future.

I had another scan today. All looking good, it even caught up a little more. So measuring 11+3 (12+0 by dates). Good heartbeat. Very wiggly!! Was amazing really. Can't quite believe this might actually be happening!
