Painful periods after HSG

I can’t find any information on second and third periods after HSG procedures?

My periods all my life have been relatively light and pain free I’ve had issues over the years which have affected my cycles PCOS and under active thyroid and although sporadic or absent my periods have always been light and easy going which I was always thankful for because ovulation used to be enough pain for the month. Everything is under control these days I’m very fortunate I have regular cycles now and I’m no longer classed as having PCOS just a PCO ovary.

I’m having fertility treatment to conceive, and have had tests. Since the HSG, OMG the pain, and now they’re heavier and longer oh and after having a settled cycle they’re a bit irregular now too… Anyone else?

I too have pcos and really absent periods ( 1-2 a year) since my hsg in November (I took provera to induce a bleed) I've had a period every month since tho and I ovulated for the first time the following cycle and we actually conceived but it didn't work out. For me the hsg has somehow helped reset my body? My period following the hsg in dec was super smooth and normal flow however January was weird, light for 7 days and heavy for another 7. Don't know if it's to do with my pcos as i had that once before or if because I had hcg from my early loss. This month its very light flow coming and going but again not unusual for me as my periods are generally so scanty. So I can't say that I've noticed anything unusual as a negative result of the hsg but I will say since it I do have alot of ovary pain

@MK85 I would say since the HSG my period seems more healthy, even if it is more painful the flow seems much better. In the past there wasn’t much and it was quite dark and 3 days total where as they’ve been a steady 7 days since the HSG. Ovulation feels like it did when my pcos was really bad, definitely more painful. But I really, I do feel like I’ve had a mini reset too.
I’m hoping it’s a good thing 🤞🏽
