Timings of dtd with a static smiley face

hello I am looking for some advice on when to dtd after a static smiley face. I tested for the first time yesterday using clear blue digital ovulation test and got a static smiley face. We dtd yesterday but my partners too tired today😔 we have dtd every day since Thursday until last night. Have I got a good chance of conceiving?

As it was my first time testing I don’t know if this is the start of the surge or the end as I know the smiley face indicates the 2 most fertile days.

We only ever had success dtd every other day as opposed to everyday so I’d definitely say you’ve got a good chance having dtd regularly beforehand, could always try again tomorrow just so you’re covered! xx

Thank you! Yes partner has agreed to try again tomorrow. He’s tired and watching football tonight 🙄
do you think it’s best to dtd first thing in the morning or the evening? Xx

@Claire2023 we only ever did evening because my partner starts work at 6am everyday and I was not doing it then🤣🤣 you think they’d want to do it everyday wouldn’t you, it’s like you’re asking them to do something awful by the end🙄🤣xxx

😂 we’ve done it 4 days in a row and now he’s complaining! Don’t want to miss my window as I got the static smiley yesterday afternoon. Haven’t got ewcm which is worrying me? TMI but felt inside myself and cervix feels soft and watery which is a sign of ovulation and I’m sure I had ovulation pains yesterday. Might try and seduce him in the morning 😂😂 he does leave for work at 6.30 so I’ll set my alarm a bit earlier 😂 x x

By reading lots of forums! It looks like you can ovulate 2 days after the static smiley so hoping tomorrow I may see some ewcm fingers crossed

I’ve got this with my hubby at the moment but it’s nothing new, my sex drive is much higher than his I’d happily have sex everyday 😂
I’m just going into my positive OPKs and already worried he’s gonna be too tired to DTD over the next few days!

you’d never think you’d be worrying about a man not wanting to have sex would you 🙈

@Claire2023 also last month I had a static smiley on CD 16 and definitely didn’t ovulate until CD 18 so even if you did it tomorrow I’d say you’re still in with a chance. Apparently the CB digitalis are more sensitive than normal strips so you can just detect the start of the LH surge which I think is what happened with me last month

Claire2023 · 14/02/2023 11:51

@ChloeN i have noticed in the past but honestly have paid much attention to my cycle. This is our first month trying - just hope the clear blue digital was accurate. Xx

Sorry to jump on! I’m not sure how to make my own post I’m very new to this please forgive me!

Hi all!
After any help I can get with this please - I basically had sex with my partner on Thursday night 10pm, and I got my first static smiley face on Monday morning at 7am.
As he’s a shift worker we couldn’t DTD until last night (Tuesday night) at 9/10pm
Will I still be in with a chance of conceiving?
I’m not sure if the static means my egg has been released? Or how long the egg would last?
It’s all very confusing!
I’d be super grateful for any help/advice/stories

Thank you 🥰

Not sure if anyone will see this, just curious to know if anyone actually struck lucky on these attempts ? :) Sometimes you wonder looking back at posts :))

Hi guys hoping someone could help. I have the clear blue ovulation tests (find your 2 peak days). Checked last night and came up with static smiley
face. Currently on CD 12, yesterday was on CD11 did the test really late last night 11pm. So told hubby straight away and DTD last night. Woke
up today CD12 and did the test again 8am and test was just empty ⭕️. A little confused have I missed my ovulation day? When does actual ovulation occur? I heard that ovulation happens 24-48 hours after a static smily. So shouldn’t the test still show static smiley. And information or personal experience would help please really confused.
