Signs after Sex

Hey all,

I'm curious to know if anyone gets signs in their body that they may implant, like I'm talking about a week after you've had sex or a week before your period is meant to be due.

Any early symptoms before you realise you've missed your period?

Are tummy twitches and pinches one that anyone gets? 😬

With my first I got really spotty on my face at 4dpo, then got creamy discharge 9dpo. Both were unusual enough for me to make note of/different to usual. Noticed bit of nausea and was super gassy (both ends!) at 10dpo and my boobs were a bit tender. 11dpo my boobs felt really heavy and tender. I then got what I thought were my usual 'pre-period' cramps for a couple of days and got really sad! ...but my period didn't arrive on the day I expected. Normally v. predictable. I tested the next morning 15dpo and had my (very faint!) positive. I didn't do an earlier test so not sure if it would have picked it up.

Now majorly symptom spotting for similar, though of course ever pregnancy is different! 3dpo and bit spotty so keeping everything crossed!!

Yes, I had a weird pink discharge "implantation" thing when my normal period was due after conceiving, few spots, nothing bad, then nothing more for 9 months. Can't remember which pregnancy (5 of them) but think the third one.

With my two pregnancies I had absolutely nothing. No signs, spotting , twinges nothing. Many people will say they felt things really early but it’s impossible to feel any pregnancy symptoms until after the egg has implanted which is 6dpo minimum but can but up to 12dpo. Anyone experiencing symptoms before that is just having normal cycle symptoms. Unfortunately many pregnancy symptoms are identical to pre AF symptoms as it’s caused by hormones.

The general info is if it is pregnancy and the hormones are strong enough to give you symptoms then they’re strong enough to show on a test.

Just wanted to ask, when you say DPO it means _days past ovulation right? Wanted to clarify is this the ovulation of the month you were TTC in or are you counting of the following month?

Stabby pains in the side I ovulated starting about a week after ovulation, implantation bleeding that started on the day AF was due with my first, no implantation bleeding this time.

I swear I just knew I was pregnant in the week after having sex. I was just really emotional, felt a bit sicky and felt different. I got my BFP about 10DPO but I was pregnant with twins originally so higher levels of HGC. Good luck op!

@Twoinapod that makes lots of sense re hormones/signs/testing. Personally I'm not keen on testing pre AF in case of chemical pregnancy/early loss etc. I have had cycles where I got gassy and tender boobs around 10dpo and then AF started a day or two later than I expected which I'm guessing could have been chemicals but I'll never know.

@FR49 yes dpo is 'days post ovulation' and it refers to the cycle you're TTC in so you're most recent ovulation for the month you're trying. E.g. I'm currently 4dpo - day 18 of current cycle.

How many days after this did you get your BFP? Currently similar, 10dpo with temp drop 7dpo and then back up since. Still testing negative so might have been nothing!

@Tofucuddles sorry for the delay, I wanted to double check but was struggling to find it on the PreMom app! I was 11DPO and had my BFP on a clear blue digital (6 days early) test. The one with a flashing red light on the end that signals when to take it out of the urine! Good luck ❤️ sending you lots of luck! Xxx

A week before I was due on with my first I got weird migraines with my second I had bad travel sickness. Feel like I’m pregnant again and sick feeling but only 4dpo and period not due until 21st (23 day cycle). Also stabby pains down there x

With my first pregnancy I just felt unwell and had bad cramps, assumed AF was coming but when I was late I got a very positive test. This month I'm not sure when I ovulated which makes things tricky, it's usually really early like day 8-11. For past 4 days I've had headache, felt a bit hot and waves of seasick feelings in the afternoon and evening. Period not due for 6 more days. Curious to see if anything comes of it- really hope I'm either pregnant or feeling better next week because currently feel awful. 😖 trying to wait to test.

First pregnancy I didn't get the usual sore boobs in the run up to when my period was due.

Second pregnancy I got a weird taste in my mouth and kept burping a few days after DTD.
