FRER change? - how many DPO was your BFP...

A few years ago now I remember FRERs being the saught after test as it was reliable and could be used early.

Now I am always seeing indents, grey shadows, evaps and people not getting their BFP until later in their cycle.

Have the tests changed? I'm curious as to what has happened and to how reliable these tests are now.

I've never had an evap or issues with FRER, definitely the most reliable in my opinion. With my DS I had my first bfp at 8dpo and this time at 10dpo!

FRER are still the best IMO.
BFP at 10dpo (5dp5dt) so I know the timings are accurate.

I think Mumsnet makes those issues seem like a bigger problem than they actually are. People are more likely to post about faulty tests. I've never had an issue either.
In answer to your question got my bfp at 10dpo but it wasn't that faint I think I could have got it sooner

I've never had an issue - had a faint line at 8DPO when pregnant and no hint of a line when I wasn't pregnant, although I only ever looked at the test within the time and then threw them away if negative

I've used 4 this cycle from 9dpo and there is a horrible grey indent line on them all as soon as the test is taken. It fades away after the 3 mins as the test dries, 2 of them then got a bad evap line.

Two evap lines last cycle too.

I think they've got really poor.

I had my BFPs at 12DPO previously and no issue with evaps or indent prior to that.

I definitely feel the tests have changed somewhat since I used them with my other pregnancies.
