What are the chances of getting a bfp this way

Me and my partner had s*x a few hours after a positive opk. He used withdrawal method. After he did this I looked abit confused as we have been trying for a baby(this will be our second month) he tried to rectify the situation by scooping all the semen off my stomach and using his fingers to put it inside after about 5 minutes or so of it being on my skin.

this is the first time we’ve managed to BD since my period ended as we’re in the middle of moving house with 2 kids so things have been crazy and my cycles are on the shorter side
obviously I’m aware any time sperm comes in contact with your vagina during your fertile week pregnancy is always a possibility. But you don’t hear of women getting pregnant this way so I’m just wondering what the chances are of what he did actually working. would it be the same percentage as if he had just left it in?
I’ve never been in this position before 😂

Hoping if it doesn’t happen this month next month will be the month for us 🤞🏻 I feel like this month has been a train wreck in terms of TTC 😣

hey, i cant really give any advise as i've never been in this situation before but i'd be more worried as to why he pulled out if you were trying for a baby, do you think he had second thoughts so pulled out maybe?

That’s a good point actually. Once things have calmed down here I’ll definitely talk to him about it. So far he’s let on he’d like a 3rd and final baby. But he’s not great at talking about his feelings so could just be trying to make me happy x

My husband was the same, he didnt really say much and just went along with what i wanted to do so i said no lets leave it as i want us both to be 100% we had a chat and the day after he said he wanted one and because it wasnt something we'd spoken about it wasn't at the front of his mind, typical for him so i wasnt surprised lol
I'm not sure how long it survives outside the body for but hopefully you get the answer you want from him and his scooping technique worked for you! x

@boysmum23 i definitely agree that both people need to be 100% sure.
if it turns out he’s not completely sure it’s not the end of the world as we have 2 beautiful kids either way.
im in 2 minds about it right now. Yes I’d love another baby so would be happy if it turned out to be an effective method but I’d feel awful if he’s just doing it because I want it and it turned out to be effective.
needless to say it’s going to be an interesting TWW waiting to find out 😂

It’s definitely still possible. I would think it lowers your chances a bit as obviously it won’t be chucked as high as if he’d come inside.

id be more concerned about why he pulled out though. Doesn’t sound he’s on board
