Hi everyone, im 35 years old and I'm just wondering if anyone is going through anything similar. I stopped taking the pill in October 2021 in hope to conceive baby num 2. I have a 5yo dd already so I have been blessed to have her ❤️.. but I would like to have another baby but it just seems like constant disappointment every month 😔.
I have read about secondary infertility and wondering if this is the case.

Thank you for reading 😊xxx

Aww, I understand how you're feeling but don't give up! I started trying for a baby when I was 37, didn't get pregnant until I was 40. We started trying for another as soon as our baby was born when I was 41. Finally got pregnant again when I was 44! Both conceptions were natural and seemed to occur when I wasn't worrying x

I forgot to say, I already had a daughter when I was 22 so I was worrying about secondary infertility too!

I feel your pain. I started trying for DC2 in 2019, finally successful in 2022. I'm in my mid 40's though so it was going to be harder for me anyway (met DH late in life). Secondary infertilty is a thing, but I also think a lot of luck is involved. I assume that you are maximising your chances/timing it for your window? It's so hard. I gave up hope eventually but kept trying anyway (luckily DH was very much on board with wanting no 2, or I may have given up trying altogether and wouldn't have DC2). Keep trying, wishing you luck xx

I would start tracking ovulation - taking folic acid and my insotil.

I use ClearBlue Ovulation tests but some people prefer the strips as they are more cost effective

We started TTC a third in April 2021 after no previous problems conceiving and it still hasn’t happened for us. We are contemplating ivf now. You’re definitely not alone xx

@Unicorndreams24 I also have been trying for dc2 since nov21. Have had 4 early miscarriages and still waiting on that sticky bean. Sadly nhs are quite behind, so still waiting on tests too get any kind of help/info as to what’s going wrong. Have you been to your gp and got referred for testing as it’s been over a year? Xx

Similar boat but trying for my 1st since October 2021 with a MC January 22 nothing since. I'm currently waiting on an appointment for a fertility clinic. But taking high dose CoQ10 and doing Keto to try help my hormones and egg quality until then.

Unicorndreams24 · 04/02/2023 22:42

Thanks everyone for your replies 🥰.. yeh I track my ovulation every month. I haven't yet been to GP , but I'm now thinking it may be good to go really.
Wishing you all luck and thanks again xxx

Have been ttc #3 since October 21, did have a ruptured ectopic in 2020, otherwise…. I’m 36 now

anotherscroller · 05/02/2023 19:42

you're not alone. December 22 for us and we're now having fertility treatment. Big hug.

anotherscroller · 05/03/2023 06:36

If it gives any hope, we actually got pregnant this cycle! It felt like it would never happen. Trying since dec 21, and we ended up having fertility treatment (not ivf).
all the best to you

anotherscroller · 05/03/2023 06:36

(Sorry I meant to write December 21 on my first message)

Mummyme87 · 05/03/2023 09:42

What fertility treatment did you have? @anotherscroller congratulations

anotherscroller · 05/03/2023 18:36

Letrozole on days 2 to 7 of the cycle, then ovidrel trigger shot to force ovulation, then progesterone in the luteal phase
