Period pains but no period ttc

Been trying to get pregnant for a while now - I've taken pregnancy tests but they're negative still - I've only used the cheap strip ones though.

I'm on day 29 of my cycle so my period is due anywhere from now to Friday/Saturday and I've got period twinges but no actual period! Normally my cycle is anywhere from 29-34 days long.

By now I've usually had spotting in the lead up to my period but nothing - the pains are getting stronger but they're only like a stab pain then they've gone again (if that makes sense!)

Could these be early pregnancy cramps? I'm trying to hold off testing for another couple of days as it does feel like my period will be here soon but I've not even had the spotting yet! Tmi but I also seem to be having quite a fair amount of discharge/cervical mucus - normally around this time of the month I don't get that - I don't know if im reading too much into this!

Any experiences would be great - thank you!!

@rebeccabec maybe try again when you are late based off of your longest cycle length, so what would be day 35? I am learning not to pay too much attention to symptoms during the tww; i have had the majority of them and none at all in some cycles and still no whiff of a bfp. It's so disheartening. This cycle I had discharge but it was just a precursor to af. Not to discourage you but don't want you to get disappointed. Only a test can tell really. Having said that I do hope this is your month, lots of baby dust your way

@NatGee

Day 35 would be Monday I think. I'm so sorry you are struggling too - it's awful. I am trying to be as realistic as possible and every month I've promised myself I won't get caught up in it but it's just impossible :(

Sending lots of luck your way too 💐

I've been TTC for 2 years and I get period cramps before my period every month but both times I've been pregnant (with DS and my early MC), I also had period cramps so in my experience it doesn't mean much either way. I do have endometriosis though

Both times I thought my period was coming as I had strong period cramps, but I was pregnant! It can go either way, good luck 🤞🏼

@rebeccabec it is. Every month that goes by you make new plans only for them to get dashed. Anyway, our time will come, yours might be just round the corner :D Monday isnt far. I know its easier said than done but try to distract yourself, a good movie, a nice dinner or treat to pass the time xx
