Hi all,

im sorry if this has been spoken over before and a TW for anyone TTC and Chemical Pregnancies

my partner and I are TTC baby number 3 and last month I ovulated on the 7th from ovulation tests, we dtd and then on the 20th Dec I got a positive pregnancy test and more a few days on from this, however I started bleeding on the 25th and a few days later a negative test. I bled for around 5 days and was nothing heavier than a period, if I hadn’t of tested I would’ve just thought my period was late- hence the chemical.

ive been testing for ovulation since and got a very positive ovulation test on the 20th Jan, we dtd around this time and I’m now on day 38 of my cycle if I go from the date I last started bleeding in December. It’s been 2 days since I did a pregnancy test which was negative so will try again however I’m not sure now when my period should be due after the chemical. My periods are normally very regular and I normally have around a 30 day cycle.

any advice or anyone else been through the same? Desperate for that positive

I had a chemical at the start of the month. Like you , I wouldn't have known if i wasn't testing. I bled for 2 weeks with it and stopped bleeding on 14th jan . I'm currently feeling like my period is going to arrive and day now . Tested all month and didn't ovulate this month at all :( I'm currently on cycle day 29

First of all I'm sorry for your loss, CP can be very difficult.

So by my calculations, if you did a PG test a few days ago that means your were maybe 8-9dpo given that you usually ovulate about 12-24hours after a positive OPK. It may still have been a bit early to get a positive. Sounds like the chemical has meant you probably ovulated later than normal as ovulation is what determines how long your cycles are so usually AF would be somewhere between 10-12 days after ovulation give or take. It may be worth trying to test again in the next day or so. I had a chemical when TTC DD and fall PG with her the very next cycle, apparently you can be more fertile after a CP, hope that gives you a little hope. Fingers crossed for you! ✨✨✨

If your ovulation test was positive on 20th January then I wouldn't expect your period to show up until Friday or thereabouts. Good luck!

Thank you, I was wondering this even though that would be day 41, hoping it doesn’t show up!
