Have I missed LH surge?

Hi everyone,

Hoping for some help/reassurance for this month's attempt at conceiving!

I had a MC a in December from our first month trying, and my partner and I were keen to start again straight after but life got in the way so we just let ourselves enjoy the Christmas and new year rush. We've now started again this month but I am worried I've either not ovulated or missed my LH surge when testing.

Over the last year or so, my cycles have ranged from 26 to 36 days however generally average at between 29-31. The month we conceived, I had EWCM from day 11-14 and we DTD on 13 & 15.

This month, I have been testing and have not yet had a positive ovulation test. They've all had lines but are only light. I had EWCM on days 11, 12 and 13 and DTD on all 3 days however I forgot to test on day 13 (had negative OV tests every other day during and since - I'm now on day 20). So essentially I didn't test from FMU on day 12 to PM day 13/FMU 14 (I have done so many tests I can't actually remember when the next one was). My EWCM dried right up by day 14 and over the last day or two I've had small dizzy spells and lots of DC (which I had when pregnant).

Could it be that I just missed the LH surge and I ovulated earlier thanks to my cycle being a bit messed up? Has anyone experienced similar?

Some months I just don't get the positive, unsure why 🤷🏻‍♀️ I stopped using the ovulation sticks for a while as it was stressing me out more, I've been TTC for 13 months now and have just gone back to using them and ovulated on CD11, my cycles are short though 23-26 days

Hi @Callie25, thanks so much for your reply. I'm hoping that I've just missed the surge this month and I did ovulate! My boobs are super tender today and yesterday so fingers crossed that's a good sign. It's stressing me out too - I think I'm going to start temping if I'm out this month so I actually have something solid to go off of. I have everything crossed that you'll get yours soon too xx

I wish they taught you in school how complicated it was rather than "have sex and you will get pregnant" it's so unfair 😂
I have never tried temping cos I work nights so same time every day would be difficult I think, hopefully soon 🤞🏼

@Callie25 right?! 😂 to be taught you can get pregnant at any time of your cycle and that it’s super easy really bloody stings right now 😂 sucks that you can’t temp but I guess if you can pinpoint your LH surge then you’re half way there anyway 🤞🏼. Good luck 😘

Almost makes me wonder why we all took contraception for so long 🤦🏻‍♀️
