A positive story for those who spot pre AF

Hi all. I remember I was searching for good stories about spotting before AF and fertility back at the beginning of my ttc journey and struggled a bit so thought I would post my story

I spot 3-4 days before AF every week and I was sure that it was going to cause me a big issue getting pregnant so after 4 cycles trying my GP agreed to 21 day blood tests (with progesterone) as I was so sure I had a progesterone issue but the result came back over 50 so not progesterone.

on cycle 5 I got pregnant but had an early miscarriage/CP and I insisted to my GP I think it’s a progesterone issue somewhere so they tested again and again it was over 50.

then on cycle 6 I got another bfp but it was another early miscarriage/CP so I spoke to GP again and he said nothing can be done until I have another miscarriage. He put me on contact with the specialists for advice but nothing could be done yet.

then cycle 7 I got another bfp. I didn’t think much of it as expected another loss so didn’t get excited. It really tainted those early days which should be exciting BUT I’m now 9 weeks and had a private scan yesterday and the heartbeat is really strong and measuring as it should 😊

so I know how worrying it is but for me in the end it wasn’t an issue. The doctor insists it isn’t a progesterone issue for me and the chemical pregnancies unlikely have anything to do with my spotting it’s just really common and one of those sad things

I know things can still go wrong but I also know after a strong heartbeat after 8 weeks the chances of miscarriage drops quite a lot.

I hope this helps out any spotters minds at ease that sometimes it’s ok and doesn’t mean anything for fertility. I still have no idea why I spot
