How did implantation feel and when to test?

I had several sharp – but mild – stabbing needle pains in the same spot slightly to the right of my lower abdomen yesterday and today, which is making me think implantation. Does that track with anyone else who felt implantation? (I know most people don't feel it.) All the websites I've read say 8–10 days after ovulation is the earliest you can test, but I haven't been using any test kits so don't actually know when I ovulated. Does anyone know how long after implantation you can usually test? AF is due in 10 days but it was early last month, so wondering if I may have ovulated early, too. Feeling a bit clueless and confused (and over eager) here 😅.

I've felt implantation twice, and tested positive two days after both times. Same as you, it was a stabbing needle pain, brief but very noticeable. The frst time I wondered if if it might be implantation; when I felt it the second time, I knew I was pregnant again.

Good luck, OP!

Oh in terms of where, mine were very low down in my abdomen.

Thanks – I’ll try to wait until Saturday to test to give it a chance. Fingers crossed!

Hi @Williams3001
For me, the day I implanted I had a horrible, restless night's sleep feeling so hormonal and just 'weird', and some cramping. I had a hunch I was pregnant and tested positive at 7dpo (sadly it ended up being a chemical pregnancy)
Wishing you all the best, hope you get your bfp! 🌸

sorry to jump in.....

im currently 12 DPO and AF is due in 2 days, ive had various symptoms on and off since OV time and today i felt what i thought was the usual AF cramping.... but this evening the normal type cramps seem to have faded a little but i have had a few really sharp take your breath away type stabbing pin pricks low in my abdomen...... im wondering if this could be implantation... or whether this can be normal before AF comes..... i cant say i remember the sharp pains before AF ... th cramping yes but the stabs are new .... has anyone else had this as gone on to get their BFP....

A lot of women don't feel it, test when your period is late.

I felt nothing!

ElizaGracie95 · 29/01/2023 20:25

I was TTC for 18 months and every month I thought I had felt implantation (It wasnt). The month I conceived I had the tiniest bit of pale pink when wiping, but no pain.

Im currently 7dpo. Been getting cramps, sharp pains in my stomach and left lower abodmen for the last 3 days. It hurts when I move or stretch.
I don't know if it's implantation as I've not bleed whilst having these pains. Af is due in 3 days
I have pcos so not sure if af will show

Was any of you pregnant after

Williams3001 · 04/10/2023 20:19

@Bex4567 Nope, and I’ve had the same feeling at the same point in my cycle almost every month since. No idea why 🤷🏼‍♀️.
